Just got off the phone with Firebrand. The NYPD is jerking us around as usual. We are allowed to go through only on 40th street and will have to converge at the corner of 41st street and 1st avenue.I am updating the hotline 917-387-8865 of any changes.
I will try to post with my pocket pc from the location as soon as I get there. Getting in my car and will try to drive into Manhattan.

So glad you're home and SAFE. Kudos for all you did in pulling this off and all those who braved the frigid temps. There's a link somewhere in this thread reporting 1,000 pro-Bush demonstrators assembled on the upper West Side, so we were well covered. We're hearing that the 100,000 anticipated NYC protestors fell short and the overseas number was grossly exaggerated. Couple this with the fact that the Foxnews dynamic poll indicates 69% are in favor of military action and I'd say it's turning out to be a great day after all.

GREETINGS FROM THE LIB INFESTED CAPITOL OF THE WORLD..NOO YAWK! That reminds me... when are we gonna work on evicting the UN from your fair city? Their action (really INaction) yesterday has proven their irrelevance in world affairs. We should resign our membership, and rescind our welcome mat. Send them to ... Paris? Baghdad? Pyongyang? Anywhere but the USA.

I agree tgsl.....the UN is a useless windbag or wasted taxmoney....but it's gonna take a real public outcry for them to go to Yemen where they belong...

You guys missed a good one. We had a full 45 minutes of yelling and screaming at the lefties as they poured across 40th Street. I was lucky that I saw you guys during that part. If not, I don't know how I could have found you at 41st and 1st.
Loved listening to Curtis (I listen to him daily on WABC) but the counter-demonstration on 40th and 2nd was the best.
My regards to fellow FReepers who braved the cold and the dreadlocked leftists. Nice work to all organizers. Let's do this again soon.
To: KLT
Who's this gorgeous FReeper?
We're FReepers. Don't mess with us.
Yet another leftist with an open mouth and empty head, screeching at us.
The protestors who took the short bus have arrived!
Dutchy & hellinahandcart keeping things together and showing our gratitude and appreciation for our military.
You do NOT know what to know what the old fart on the left was yelling at us. Trust me on this one, OK?

Compare and contrast: Which group supports freedom and decency, and which supports terrorism and tyranny?
One of the Questions of the Day that the leftist nitwits could not answer.
Surprisingly, this sign got some honks in NYC!
Some of the braintrust from the left came over to try to engage us in debate...
I miss the "TRAITORS: WELCOME TO NY" sign, but this is quite good too. :)

I just got off the FReep-phone with Kristinn, he's hanging out at Penn Station waiting for his train. While we were talking, he said, "Oh, that's disgusting." It turns out that a young kid was holding a sign that read, "There's a terrorist in the White House." He was standing with his family - mom and dad, all holding similar signs. AS Kristinn was telling me all this, we lost our connection. He called back a few minutes later and said he felt better; he had gone up to the dad and confronted him. He told him that he should be ashamed of himself, having his young kid holding such a sign. He asked the dad if he'd been to ground zero or the Pentagon to see what terrorism really looks like. The dad got defensive and said that he had been to ground zero. And then the guy and his family moved to a location across the station.
I hope that more folks give him a word or ten about his evil sign.

Rally in Indianapolis on the 22nd of Feb. Weather permitting I'll be there. Where can I find out more about this rally? Will there be other Freepers there? (I think it would be nice to have a "positive" tone --- supporting our troops and freeing the Iraqi people.)
