Hey, you're in Texas she's in Texas ... I hear she's recently single.

I may call her when she gets out.
She looks good, is bright and educated; all in all, a desirable woman.

Why not? I'm certainly not afraid she would hurt me.

You have 20+ million people in your state, nobody frowns on Texas for stupid criminal activity. Houston has what ... 5 million folks? Sure, 4.999 million are touring with "Up Up With People" but it's that last 100,000 that just go to the North Sea for indentured servitude or dance at Ricks Cabaret. Thank God for that topless, G-stringriffic minority. I'll defend that Constitutional issue every night, except Monday when Deja Vu needs patriotic support.

No, seriously. They bounce wronged wives out on Man-2 with probation down there more than you'd care to imagine.

I should be so lucky. I now live in New York, where a large number of Murder 2 convictions (before Pataki) were paroled in under five years.

the mistake she made, was not hitting him good enough the FIRST time.

You hit him once, you can say, "whoopsie". But multiple passes over the prone body ???? come on lady. You wanted him dead, now he's dead, and he won't EVER cheat on you again, will he!

(and you'll have lots of girlfriends in jail)

You're right, she has no history of violence.

I would choose a bullet from a .38 at 5 feet over a mow down by a 5000 pound SUV driven at 20 mph and run over my skull two more times. I don't want to get shot, but I know if my forehead and ears are torn off by an SUV, there's a chance I could have serious medical issues.

I dated girls like Clara in high school and college. That's why I moved to New York and married a local girl.

I am embarrassed by this crime too, along with several others recently. The nutcase mother who drowned her children & her nut case husband goes free after driving her nuts. The woman in Ft. Worth who let the bum die stuck thru the windshield of her car parked in the garage. A couple more of these & people aren't going to want to move to Texas anymore. Hhummmmmmm I may be on to something.

The Menendez "boys" as you call them were big hairy chested men. If they didn't like their treatment at home they could have left. Gotten jobs, changed their names & never seen their parents again. They didn't have to kill either of them. Let them rot in jail. BTW if I ever murder anyone I hope you are on the jury. You are a sucker for a sob story.

Funny, we've never seen a photo of Don Juan himself. Anyone got one?

I'm a "Thou shalt not covet" kind of guy, but when Ms Harris cashes in her ultimate heavenly chips, the "Thou shalt not kill" has more weight than the "Thou shalt not covet" command. God has to rank them, it's a shame Moses dropped and destroyed the third slab of Commandments (Mel Brooks ping). "Thou shall not joke about bombs in the airport." "Thou shalt not watch Saved by the Bell". "Thou shalt not refrain from ripping the mattress tag because that law sucks." "Thou shalt not go on field trips with Father Rick." "Thou shalt not open nostrils around Frenchmen and Madonna." "Thou shalt not play air guitar in front of women ".

You can be embarrassed, but you have a long way to go to reach the embarassment of Wisconsinites over Ed Geens "Skin Lampshades, throw rugs and jumpsuits" and Jeff Dahmers "Freezer Fun"

You Texans are undreachieving per capita.

If you ever murder someone, you would get the big needle. If you killed someone however, you could count on me for traditional Texas Justice if you showed they needed killing. I can't believe you don't know the difference.

. She sufferd a travesty of justice.

That's right. Sentence should have been suspended.

As a native Texan, I'm rather embarrassed by this sordid mess. The entire story had every earmark of a trailer park gothic set in surburbia. Trashy, trashy people.

Tacky is to be expected. When you leave downtown Houston on I-45 South you are gonna find nothing but Jerry Springer country between you and the Gulf.

Are we not to give the trashy equal justice under the law?
There is no way she would have been convicted if she lived in River Oaks or Tanglewood.

I will admit she deserved to get a couple of years for having the daughter in the car. That was over the line felony tacky.

You should work for the Texas Welcome Wagon!

Let me tell ya ... fistfights are bad, because you get your face broken, or if you break the other guys face, you both go to jail and as winner you get sued. As loser, you have a headache and facial bruises that make you ask "What the hell am I doing with my life." Now, killing someone ... that's a non-starter.

You wouldn't like 50 years in Prison. They don't use lube. That's a wake up call that maybe a life change is in order. Too late.

Don't be stupid. If you don't like someone, there are 3 or for Boxing/Jujitsu dojos in every city, you can pummel each other with impunity.

Things turned out badly because she had a "B" list Atty and a jury that was probably new residents and democrats. In my life I have never seen a Texas jury give real prison time for a crime like this

Agreed. This is not old Texas.

If I kill someone because they are trying to kill me, I'll use the "he needed killin' defense & I expect to get off. If I murder someone because they hurt my feelings, I expect I'll be in deep doo doo.
