Redondo Beach, CA Radio Free Republic, the broadcast arm of the Free Republic Network and strategic partner to the leading Internet forum Free Republic.com, announced Tuesday that it has selected CNSNews.coms Cybercast Radio News Service for its nightly broadcasts.
Complimenting Radio Free Republics line-up of popular talk show hosts will be radio newscasts, stories and news actualities provided by CNSNews.com, which will be broadcast in hourly newscasts between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. PST. CNSNews.com Cybercast Radio News will be incorporated into Radio Free Republic programming beginning Feb. 6, 2003.
Were thrilled to have found the right radio news service for Radio Free Republic and we think this partnership is a tremendous step forward in conservative webcast talk radio, said Radio Free Republic Executive Producer Bob Johnson. I dont think we could have found a better match for our audiences interests.
The Free Republic Network is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing information, education and tools to grass roots activist organizations and boasts over 50 affiliated chapters with thousands of members. It is partnered with Free Republic.com, the largest political news discussion forum on the Internet that has grown to well over one million page views per day, since its inception in 1997.
"Freepers," take part in on-line discussion and analysis of current events via the sites heavily used news forum, as well as steady participation in grass roots street activism through email, phone and fax campaigns as well as "pedal to the metal" street rallies and protests. During the election crisis of 2000, "FReepers" organized or participated in over 700 protests in 250 cities. Many credit them with keeping the media honest during that time and Congressman Bob Barr has stated that Bill Clinton would not have been impeached if it werent for FReeper pressure on Congress. Our readers are posting CNSNews.com articles every day of the week, so when they launched their radio news service, it seemed like a natural match, said Johnson.
CNSNews.com Cybercast News Service is a multi-media newswire, offering print and radio news to client organizations worldwide. Launched in 1998, CNSNews.com operates five news bureaus on four continents, and is credentialed by the U.S. Congress, the Parliament in London, the Israeli Knesset, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and other domestic and international agencies worldwide.

Looks like all the hard work is starting to pay off.
BTW - Don't believe we aren't thinking about a conservative investigative news television show...it's on the long term strategic plan!
I enjoyed our interview with Scott and Mr. Farah! Neither one is exactly a shrinking violet!

TS
BTW - A 24/7 news service would be nice, even though Fox is filling that niche right now. We're thinking more along the lines of a "60 Minutes" type show, opposite "60 Minutes" on Sundays...heheh.
LOL! Is this a case where "pot hole" is a polite term for "land mine"?
