Finally the PROOF is just around the corner to be fully reveraled. Tariq Aziz, the Frogs and Krauts will have egg all over his face this Wednesday when Colin Powell does a 'Stevenson' at the UN.

Gee, and Saddam will
never be able to figure out that we're on to those sites, and be able to hide the evidence before we get there. Just because there's world-wide press coverage doesn't mean that he knows it yet!
/sarcasm>
To: ThomWilkerson
Well now that Saddam knows we have information about these sites, won't he start cleaning them up and moving stuff?

The "blame America first", leftist Hollyweird types will call him a liar and the leftist media will eat it up. No conspiracy theories here, only reality. It makes FReeping these idiots worthwhile.
God Bless our peacemakers, the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and the Coast Guard.

The complex was built five years ago with help from Chinese engineers.UH OH! Methinks there's a good place to deposit our extra ordnance after Saddam gets his share...

"Once the inspectors go to where Mahmoud has pointed them, then it's all over for Saddam," Tierney said. Which is why the inspectors will never go there. The inspectors will protect Saddam. They will not search anywhere that they actually think will reveal a serious breech.

Well now that Saddam knows we have information about these sites, won't he start cleaning them up and moving stuff? Actually this is a classic law enforcement tactic that might just catch Saddam in the act redhanded.
There was a murder case a couple of years ago in my neck of the woods in which is was suspected that a man murdered his wife. The cops had a pretty good idea that he did it but they didn't have enough evidence to arrest him. So they put a tail on him and let leak in the press that they were about to obtain a "search warrant" for a storage facility in the case. Sure enough, the cops trailed the suspect to a storage facility in the middle of the night where he removed a Rubbermaid container containing evidence of the crime.
It was a wild hunch that paid off. He was convicted and got life in prison.

There was a movie I saw last weekend on DVD with Al Pacino and Robin Williams that set up the same sting. It makes perfect sense.
I would not be surprised if the DNC and the French send operatives over there to help Sadaam get these weapons removed before Silly Rabbit, "Blix" is for kids gets over there to check it out.

This must be the evidence Powell has to present to the UN on 2/5.

(Unreal scenario here, but I was just musing aloud....)
What happens if Saddam says "OK, you win", throws open the doors of his secret warehouses, pulls the trainloads of nerve gas out of the underground hideouts, etc. Then he surrenders to the authorities.
Does the US-led coalition still go in?
Do all the countries in the UN pick up the tab for the cleanup? (I have a funny feeling it'll be Joe US Taxpayer stuck with the bill)
Does the UN set up elections? (With the proud record of democracy so many member countries have) /snicker
The reason this thought occurred to me, is I was thinking about classic negotiation strategies. One technique is to give the other guy a face-saving "way out". I don't know what that way-out for Saddam looks like. The general consensus is that he won't back down. But what if...

We're just feeding Saddam everything he can consume and waiting to see which item produces a movement. We like doing high tech surveillance.
