Posted on 01/28/2003 8:01:30 PM PST by ChadsDad
Did anyone else notice that the networks flashed to a shot of John Edwards right as President Bush slammed high court settlements?

Gee, do you think that may have been deliberate?

Edwards must have been blinking extra fast.

I saw it and it had to be deliberate and it was sweet!

Notice? It was incredible. The cut away was instant, focused on him so he appeared to be alone, and lingered while he fidgeted. He is so toast. The only guy to come off worse was Kerrey, whose mortician demeanor was exaggerated by the eerie glare of the chamber lights and the slow-motion clapping of his Frankenstein-like hands. As I posted elsewhere, I believe that Americans are incapable of electing as President a man (or woman) who scares children on sight.

I was trying to 'splain it to my 12 yr old son, who I let stay up to watch...it's hard to explain as the speach moves along. I was telling myself to shut-up!

As soon as the President began speaking, Swine Kennedy began writing. He passed his 'dictum' to an aid and went promply to sleep, it appeared. Now we know what he was issuing forth from his lowness, a demand for another Congressional vote! The seditionist ... well, you get the gist.

I like the guy's 'river' tie to the left of him.
To: ChadsDad
I saw it. Edwards had both the posture and the look on his face of a senior who had just filled up a clean Depends.

He looks like Mike Meyers (of Austin Powers fame) in that picture.
