This is great. What useful idiots. I did a keyword search on google with --- scumsucking American-hating lowlife SOBs --- and I found this website. Yes, fools, go to Iraq and stand near a chemical weapons factory. We may be able to see your smiling face as a precision guided bomb is about to rock your world.
American-hating Noam Chomsky is all for them but I don't think he will join them. I don't see Alec Baldwin, Nancy Pelosi, Julia Roberts, Martin Sheen, Ed Assner, etc. on the list of shields. Come on, gang. They need you over there. These useful idiots think they are actually going to stop a war. Neville Chamberlain is smiling at them from somewhere on the other side.

(for a good laugh -- HUMAN SHIELDS DOT ORG -- to sign up now!)
Thanks for your messages of support. Unfortunately we are unable to get back to everyone personally. We are endeavoring to go through our emails and answer questions that need answering. We apologise for any delay.
This action has grown beyond anyone's expectations. At the current pace we expect hundreds of human shield volunteers, and if the pace continues to accelerate like it is we expect the ultimate goal of thousands that are needed to avert the war.
We are on the verge of getting endorsements from hundreds of peace organisations around the world.

Dear Ken, I'm very impressed to find out about what you are doing, and would like to express my strongest support and encouragement for these brave actions. -- Noam Chomsky, January 5, 2003
Amen to that, DFU, a-MEN!

Zogby (OPINION COMMENTARY SNIPPET and AUTHOR PROFILE: "Finally, this growing national sentiment is apparently having an impact on the Democratic challengers as well. Governor Howard Dean has been quite vigorous in promoting his anti-war credentials, using it to his advantage. And last week, Senator John Kerry, a leading Democratic contender who voted in favour of the Bush administration pro-war resolution in the Senate, has begun to raise "grave questions" about the dangers of a unilateral strike against Iraq. A note: what impressed Kerry was a television network sponsored focus group poll which showed the degree to which his position effectively resonated with U.S. opinion on the issue of war." ..."The writer, president of the Arab American Institute and a Democratic political lobbyist, hosts the weekly radio and television programme A Capital View on the Arab Network of America which is also aired live in the Middle East on MBC. The most compelling arguments came from one of its sponsors, Chicago Alderman Richard Mell. Mell happens to be the father-in-law of Illinois' new governor, Rod Blagojevich. Blagojevich received significant support as the Democrat from Arab American voters and contributors during his election. And the Chicago City Council consists mostly of Democrats. The State Department says that this Marxist-Muslim group has killed many Americans and had blown up a number of U.S. facilities in Iran. This group participated in the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979. This group had a falling out with the Ayatollah Khomeni, according to The Washington Times, so the group fled to Iraq and now is funded by Saddam Hussein. The group helped Hussein fight the Kurds in the North of Iraq when chemical weapons were used.") (112502)
Give it time - perhaps they will be the "collateral damage" int the first round of bombings. It would serve them right.
Sadly these misguided individuals will be used by Saddam to protect his military interests.
We are going to see these guys on TV after the shooting starts; either in body bags or sitting on Saddam's knee.
By Peter van Dyke
I am Peter van Dyke a British Citizen by birth, and a citizen of earth by right. As I stand here today with my brothers and sisters I feel their love for all mankind. With this love we will succeed in our attempt to stop the US and UK from attacking and bombing the people of Iraq. These poor people and I mean poor have suffered much in the last 12 years. I myself am in part responsible for these sufferings, I have allowed my democratically elected government to act in ways that I no longer can or do endorse.
Agreed.
I saw a post yesterday from a well informed freeper that indicated a certain knowledge that Mossad and CIA agents were imbedded within the human shield group, equipped with lasers and GPS systems to aid in the bombing.
Sure would be a drag if Saddam got word of that and wanted to interview several of the human shield types.
So the new Peter Principle is, "Everyone stupid enough to defend a dictator should die with the dictator."
Cooooooooooooooooool. I'm down with that. :)

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but......you needn't be alive to leave a lasting impression. ;)
But I also truly hope that Saddam thinks that there might be.
You and me both, and I wouldn't have posted this if I hadn't already seen it here.
That it would.
