The King is tied by blood to Saddam and his family... Actually, you're incorrect about this. Jordan's Abdullah is from the Hashemite line. There was a Hashemite king in Iraq until Faysal II was killed in a coup in 1958. Saddam's Ba'ath Party came to power in a 1969 coup.

Bumping up your bump...fabulous pictures, what a story is told through your efforts to bring us these expressive faces, radical actions and sorrow ( the victems of saddam's hatred and cruelty and the victems of Islamic propaganda ). May God bless our efforts to eradicate the horrors tyrants inflict!

From my WWII desk calendar for January 28h:
On this day in 1943, German field marshal Friedrich Paulus orders that food in besieged Stalingrad, Russia, not be given to the wounded. His position was that it was needed to maintain the strength of active soldiers.

The Kurds in northern Iraq seem to have themselves a sturdy little democracy going for themselves! I hope we'll be giving them a lot of support.
