[history]
January 23, 2003 -- Former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter yesterday suggested that court-sealed details of his Internet sex-sting arrest were intentionally leaked to sabotage his planned peace mission to Iraq.
Because of "the timing" of the leak - about "something that occurred nearly two years ago" - he had to cancel his trip to Baghdad, where he planned to advise Iraqi officials on ways to avoid a conflict with the United States.

"Because of what happened here . . . Im not on that airplane," he said. He's just mad cause Saddam promised him girls this trip to go along with the money.

where he planned to advise Iraqi officials on ways to avoid a conflict with the United States. None dare call it treason.

The New York Post keeps tellin' it like it is. Gotta love it!
Meanwhile, Mr. Ritter seems to be adopting the impeached one's strategy of lying, denying, delaying, spinning and whining. He's even blaming other people. He's blaming whoever leaked the information. He's blaming the media for covering the story.
Scotty boy becomes a sadder and sadder clintonesque figure moment by moment.

What struck me was that Ritter made a 180-degree turn on this issue--without having been back to Iraq to back up his claims! My question is--what did the Iraqis have on him that made him change his mind? Or was it that $400,000 'gift' from an Iraqi businessman that nudged him into the pro-Iraq column?
What a head-scratcher!

Darn. I was hoping he would go. I mean, if it is that important, he would, right? What he didn't say, was that even Iraq doesn't want anything to do with him now and told him to stay home. That's pretty sad when even a murderer like Hussein wants no part of you.
Or, unless he is barred from leaving because of a pending investigation into why he is Saddam's buddy.

He's been getting speaker's fees from all the assorted nutjob groups out there, too- one he went to this past week was paying him $4,000 bucks for just a speech.

So what do we think now that we know ol' Bagdad Buttboy's weaknesses? Maybe a little kit-kattin' around with some young Prince or Princess of Araby brought to you by Soddamy Studios all nice and neat in Beta and VHS. Kinda of like Momo on his wedding night, don't you think?
