how could he do what he has been doing knowing this skeleton was in his closet waiting to emerge.

Perhaps he was going on tv spouting his propaganda at the behest of someone interested in having him out there.

Perhaps he complied because if he didn't he was told that the story would come out.

Perhaps he was assured the record was sealed and his secret was safe with...whoever.

You'd better believe that if it were a lowly normal citizen in this same scenario, his life would be ruined on the spot of the sting.

Like the LAPD who took it easy on O.J., the law enforcement in the Ritter story covered up his crimes. Shame on them and Ritter.

  1. Right click on the image you're interested and in select "Save image as..." (Netscape) or "Save Picture as..." (IExplorer). Don't actually save the pic. Just note the "name".
  2. Select the "View" menu at the top of your browser and then select either "Page source" (Netscape) or "source" (IExplorer).
  3. In the page source press < CTRL >F (Netscape) or do a "Find" (IExplorer opens the source in Notepad)
  4. Locate the < img src=... > tag that contains the "name" you noted in Step 1.
  5. Cut and paste the image tag into your reply. It will look something like this. Note that I had to put spaces between the "greater than" and "less than" characters in order to get them to appear in this reply.

Once you compromise yourself on one front (probably accepting money from the enemy) and getting away with it. It's only natural to take the next step of depravity. It takes more and more to get that rush.

I'm surprised that this bothers anybody," he said. "I mean look at these reality TV shows out there, everything going on, 'Bachelorette,' 'Joe Millionaire' ... we had oral sex in the Oval Office ... I'm just surprised [at] the selective application of morality, that we seem to have certain things bother us and other things don't."

It does not bother us that Ritter is a pervert, nor the nature of his crime.

What bothers us is that a person of such low moral character is given a forum from which to support our enemies in Iraq, and attack our President.

Look at it logically. If a person got caught doing something illegal and then did the same thing again, only two months later, what would that tell you? First, that he has done it so many times before that the risk of being caught the second time did not seem significant or, second, that his obsession overcame his judgment. But, in either case, it seems unlikely that this pattern of behavior BEGAN in early 2001. My bet is that the Iraqis have pictures of Ritter with some local kid, male or female, and made it clear that they would release them. I'd also bet that some cash changed hands if, for no other reason, than to give the Iraqis the opportunity to get pictures of Ritter taking a bribe.

Ritter has lived at his current place for about two years. Where did he live before and what do those sexual predator police records show? Again, this behavior didn't just START out of the blue!

So, I surmise that Saddam has compromising pictures of Ritter taken during his tenure as a weapons inspector in Iraq.

Any creditability Ritter thought he had went by the wayside when this story came out. Who would believe a pervert who when caught by the police the first time and given a pass, went right back out and did the same thing again. They can do all the sex counseling with him they want. This guy has a definite problem. If I were his wife, I'd be finding out from those twin daughters if daddy dearest has ever been a little too friendly with them.

What is the worst he could have been charged with? Indecent exposure? Contributing to the delingency of a minor?

The question is, if he has shown those propensities here, he probably showed them in Iraq as well, and Saddam's secret police are smart enough to set a honeytrap for someone like Ritter, who then can be blackmailed into turning...

It is also a validation of astute observations, made for months now, that Ritter was not right mentally and also lends credence to speculation that perhaps he was a person with a flawed character and that something in his closet was being used to make him dance to a certain tune.

Ritter lived in Gainesville, Fl before his move to NY. I searched the Florida sexual predator database, found 2 Ritters but the photos did not resemble Scott Ritter at all. I'm still looking around for Florida criminal records that can be accessed without having to pay a fee. So far no luck.

Yes. And Saddam has been known to "lure" younger women for his own pleasure. Why not offer a couple to Ritter in return for his "silence." What a pile of dung this Ritter has turned out to be. And he actually has 2 daughters of his own!

The susceptibility to blackmail is not disputable. That was not my concern. Just what felonies that have been written about has he committed?

Uh....Rushti....there's no moral selectivity going on. The people disgusted by the traitor's perversions are the same people who DESPISED Clinton then, despise him now, HATE those disgusting TV shows and DO NOT WATCH THEM.

We despised Ritter as a traitor...and now we doubly despise him as both a traitor AND a &%$#@! pervert.

"What is the worst he could have been charged with? Indecent exposure? Contributing to the delingency of a minor?"

Attempting to corrupt a minor, attempted child sexual abuse, luring a minor with intent to commit an illegal act, luring a minor with intent to commit child sexual abuse, lewd and indecent behavior, public indecency...

He made a plea deal with the now-fired assistant DA and pled guilty to a "far lesser charge"...no one knows what charge he pled guilty TO in order to get off, because the deal included sealing his record.

He reminds me of those Muslim rapists in Florida abusing 10 year-olds...he must have hung out in Iraq too long.

Seems like a good (?) lawyer would have a field day with those charges all of which are easily defended. Maybe that had something to do with the plea bargain. In these type of cases most of the punishment is the publicity surrounding the arrest.

I don't understand that perversion.

Experience and maturity is always a plus.

Apparently Scott has little of either.
