NO MORE CELEB PUNDITS; FOR FUN AND PROFIT

I have a business suggestion for any who want to use it. If I had more time I'd take this idea and run with it. However; working 60 hrs/week doesn't leave me much time. I'm not looking to make a direct profit off this idea, if someone uses it; all I expect in return are 2 things: 1) An order form so that I can buy a few, and 2) An opportunity to invest in the venture if (and only if) investors are needed.
This idea didn't start with me, it started with a post on Free Republic, and I'm sure it has been seen a number of other places regarding Celebrity Pundits, with a petition to go along with it. After listening to the remarks recently attributed to George Loony, I got to thinking that we need more than a petition, and that a lot of us would be willing to "sign" with our check books. If you haven't seen the petition, here is the link: http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/hollywoodceleb/ . If you haven't signed the petition, please do so.
What I envision are T shirts and sweat shirts with a logo of various left wing celebrities who have blatantly attacked conservatives, our electorate, our voters, our politicians, and our nation. Caricatures of these Socialists would be best, but in the middle of the shirt have a selection of celebs to choose from, Loony, Aflac, Crowe, etc. Over their caricature, there would be a red circle and bar, and maybe have them pictured standing in front of the old USSR flag. Above, would be "NO MORE"; below would be "CELEBRITY PUNDITS". On the back could be one of their most stupid quotes. This idea could also be adapted to bumper stickers and, I am sure other products.
These would sell well on conservative web sites, at gun shows, at any Freeper event, and just about anywhere Conservatives tend to go. I'm sure that the Free Republic folks will come up with a lot of other celebrities to add to the list, and ways to market it. So, have at it guys and gals! Just remember, if you are going to go with this, and need investors, I want an opportunity to get in on it! If you don't need investors, I still want a chance to be one of the first people to buy one!

I would like to see conservative folks put up anti-anti-war commercials... All we hear is these stupid liberal know-it-alls calling Bush a dimbulb yet these guys dont know anything but how to memorize a few lines at a time.

Blast! I wanted to have a law suit warning in that, but I forgot. Anyone who takes the idea and runs with it will probably be sued for slander, as long as the quote on the back is accurate, this would be a good thing. First off, it's not slander if it's true. Secondly, these people willingly injected themselves into a political discussion, and have had their voices amplified by their celeb status. It is our first ammendment right to criticize them! A law suit would be a good thing because it would not only be winable, but also generate alot of publicity about the product!

Oh come on, they memorize whole paragraphs at a time!
There aren't many movies I can watch anymore. Danny Glubber spoiled alot of my favorate ones with his idiocy. This idea would also increase the distaste for celebs who decide to speak out against what the majority of the nation agree with. If it took off, it would create a financial incentive for these people to shut up!
I really got sick of the celeb stuff when Congress needed to fly in 3 women who PLAYED FARM WIVES IN A MOVIE for information of what farm life was like! I guess they were afraid that REAL farm wives might smell up their ivory tower!

Yeah, I think a t-shirt saying CLOONEY IS LOONEY would be a good start.

The problem is that there are just so many of them! Gezz, I've lost count of the number of anti-US celebs speaking out against us trying to keep a nut job in Iraq from getting a nuke! They say we should worry about N Korea, but it's too late to stop them (Thanks Bill!), but we CAN stop Iraq!

I like the idea, there are a number of great charicturists (sp?) that might be willing, and the back could have a standard poem instead of a quote.
Chris Rommel
Bad Banana
"Their nom de plume "Not In Our Name" instead should be "Not In Our Brains."· Say members of Not In Our Name,
"Attacking Iraq's inhumane!"
They'd wait 'til Saddam
is bombing anon
and then they'd debate whom to blame.
Their spokespersons then would complain
"The dots weren't connected again,"
but doubt not a whit
they'd never admit
"Connections were Not In Our Brains."·
..
Inspired by the re-emergence of the it's-all-America's-fault crowd under the nom de plume "Not In Our Name" supported by such brilliant members of the "arts" community as Susan Sarandon, Robert Altman, Martin Sheen, Jane Fonda, ad nauseam. Editor's note: the nom de plume's dot-com version connects to an anti-western propaganda site, and it's dot-net version touts support by the great intellectuals of our time such as Hanoi Jane Fonda, Ed Asner, Susan Sarandon, Robert Altman, ad nauseam. --Jim Wrenn, Editor@PoliSat.Com.. Maybe we could take out a full page add:
Dear Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein,
We are desperately trying to prevent you from committing any further attacks against our allies and ourselves. Our President is using diplomatic and military means to protect us. Unfortunately, not all of our allies, or even our citizens, see the wisdom of his efforts. We also know as a free and open society, we may not be able to completely protect ourselves from a future attack. Therefore, we ask that if you are to attack us again, you focus your efforts at the following locations:
Martin Sheen's address.
Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon's address.
George Clooney's address.
Alec Baldwin's address (and Kim Bassinger's?)

Here's a thought for what it's worth. If you really want to organize a serious counter-protest against these celebs that would really hit them where it hurts -
Cancel your cable TV/Satellite. Let the company know why.
If the 7k+ that signed the petition cancelled their subscriptions in protest - I think the message would be heard loud and clear.
We've already done it. Don't miss it at all and our kids are better off without it. Internet, radio, selected videos, music - all the entertainment we need, and much easier to control as a parent.

Hey Clooney, I look forward to to your impending occupancy of the center Hollywood Square...Your trashing of Bush and your tactless comment regarding Charlton Heston shows your serious lack of intellegence. Mainstream America doesn't attach any importance to your views. What are your credentials, Mr. Actor? One word for you, pal- SCREW!

What did the duck say? I missed it.

Are you talking about Ben Affleck? I thought you were bringing AFLAC (the insurance company) into it.

Oh, sorry! I haven't seen his name in a while (thankfully), so didn't have a current reference on spelling. Heck, there were a number of celebs I left off because I didn't know how to spell their names, but I felt a need to get him mentioned on the post.
For a former 7025c in the USAF, I'm still pretty bad at spelling!

I was agreeing with you guys until i got to the letter Yehuda wrote. Unfortunately actors/celebrities DO NOT live in our world, they live in their own world where everything they say or do is put under a microscope. Now i'm not saying they should be pittied, or even respected more. I'm just saying that the garbage that comes out of their mouth is always amplified much more than what my neighbor Bob might say, which makes them some sort of unwilling (or uneducated) spokesmen. Sure you ignore when your friends or coworkers say simular things that u don't agree with. But it's hard to ignore someone surrounded in spotlights. I'll get to the point....
"O' Brother Where Art Thou" is a damn good movie, and Clooney does a good job in it. Whatever idiotic statement comes out of his mouth during an interview or whatever makes no difference. If there are people that decide to "follow" his views... screw them... they have no say in the matter. I doubt anyone would take a person seriously who's beliefs are based on what their favorite celebrity says. I won't decide what to watch/listen to based on what the Star's political stance is. seems very idiotic to me.
I liked the shirt idea though, that's pretty good.
