This is great -- all together in one place if the mainstream media would care to take a look!

We're gonna help 'em out, as usual.

Next time, you'll know better and use the word OFFICIAL somewhere in the title.

There won't BE a next time!

Just kidding. I'm just in a really bad mood.

Some background on Ritter from Newsmax.com Sept. 20, 2002.

Yes, We Have No Nukes Today

In recent weeks if you turned on your television set or opened your newspaper, you would have had a hard time avoiding an encounter with Scott Ritter. NewsMax.com takes a closer look at this controversial former U.N. arms inspector.

William Scott Ritter, Jr. was born in Gainesville, Florida 42 years ago. He is married with children, Protestant, Republican, and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

He is a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as an intelligence officer for seven years - including a tour planning for the Gulf War’s Operation Desert Storm. However, he spent the latter part of his dozen years in the reserves, including a one-year stint as intelligence resources officer in New Orleans. He attained the rank of major in the reserves.

For three years he worked for the United Nations’ Office of the Special Commission as chief of the concealment investigations unit in Iraq, resigning in protest from this post in 1997. (All inspectors left Iraq in 1998.) He also served three years as lead liaison between the U.N. and the intelligence services of the U.S., the United Kingdom, Israel and other nations.

In 1999 he authored, a book, "Endgame, Solving the Iraq Problem - Once and For All.”

He is a volunteer firefighter, enjoys golf, and - by the way - is on record saying he one of the world’s foremost experts on all things Iraqi.

"I know Iraq better than just about anybody in the U.S.,” the former Marine recently boasted to New York journalist David Wallis, a regular contributor to the New York Times magazine and the Washington Post.

I've asked several times. Haven't gotten a response.

Why make him bigger than he is?

Good point... after all, that was the undercover police officer's job...

;0)

This is really sad. He served his country as a Marine. He stayed on when the last Gulf War began. He carried out his inspection mission with enthusiasm. He had all the ingredients of being a great American. What in the world happened?

When this comes to a conclusion, they will use the word Republican in every description of him.

Saddam has 19 surgically altered doubles.

Maybe Saddam made one of Ritter, and switched him.

It would explain much.

RITTER WAS ARRESTED BY COLONIE POLICE IN JUNE OF 2001 AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY HAD A SEX CONVERSATION ON THE INTERNET WITH AN UNDERAGE GIRL, WHO TURNED OUT TO BE AN UNDERCOVER COP.

That's illegal? Was he patronizing the Barney Room on Yahoo Chat?

"And, the real Ritter has just been fired from his job on the Fire Department"

Really?? We don't have to listen to Ritter bragging about how he's a firefighter anymore in a pitiful attempt to associate himself with the every day heros who epitomized the strength of this nation on 9/11??

Thank heaven. Nothing will ever convince me that Ritter ever even fought a fire for the fire department. He's too busy globe hopping as professional Bush administration trasher. He's probably the type who likes having the official blue light on his vehicle.

Small man who wants to look big...I think that's a prerequisite for working with the UN.

OK...I know it's gonna take both hands for me to force my finger on the mouse button...but I'm gonna bite...it'll probably give me nightmares. The creepazoids at the DU usually do.

Well, it's illegal when you then arrange to meet the aforementioned underage girl somewhere for unwholesome purposes... I think they call that Child Endangerment...
