Ephesians 5
8 For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light
9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
10 and try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
Abide with us this day, Great God. Guide us with Your lamp of truth. Gather us together as Your children, that we may draw near to You in Spirit and in love. We need You in America, Gracious Lord. We need You to illuminate the darkness of a nation that has drifted off course. Bring us into Your fold as a shepherd who gathers his sheep. Shield us from the enemy who seeks to destroy us.
Forgive us of our moral and spiritual decline in America, Father. Use our President as a channel for Your love and truth, and let him be a powerful witness for Jesus Christ. We pray that souls would be won for Your kingdom because of the testimony and example shown by President Bush. Thank You for protecting him. Thank You that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shower him with blessings, Father, and help him to continue to find favor in Your eyes. Give him wisdom for the days and decisions that lie ahead. Fill him with a supernatural understanding of Your will in dealing with the Iraqi crisis.
We lift up the media in our nation, Father, and we ask that You would shine the light of Your Word in their hearts. Many of them are lost and in the hands of the devil who has blinded them. Loose the chains that hold them in darkness. Set them free from their blindness and deafness. Open their eyes, that they may behold wonderful things from Your law.
We commit to You the unborn in this nation, Father. Forty million innocents have been slaughtered in the womb, and their blood rests upon us. We ask that You would move in the hearts of our judges, our legislators, and all Americans to seek an end to this horrible bloodshed. O Lord, remove the blinders from our eyes and the barriers from our hearts. We plead for Your mercy, Father. Visit this nation in a mighty way, we pray.
We need You every hour, most Precious Lord. We love You and seek Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
Amen.
Morning, sweet *whoever*. : )
