In a little more than a week, the Iraq crisis will come to a head. On Jan. 27, U.N. weapons inspectors will deliver what is likely to be an inconclusive report on their progress so far in Iraq, and the president then will have to decide his endgame: whether to send the more than 150,000 U.S. troops in the region to topple Saddam Hussein, or accede to the demands of many nations that he give the inspectors more time.

"American citizens should hold them accountable for being controlled by Jewish extremists."

Controlled by Jewish extremists. You're a friggin idiot, newbie. Have you ever considered, in your tiny liberal mind, that sometimes the interests of the US and Israel just happen to run along the same line for a reason other than conspiracy? I'd like to know when you Lefties will stop being controlled by the spirit of Marx.

Troll alert!

Your Pali buddies ought to be damn glad that the US restrains Israel as well as it does. Otherwise, the IDF would eliminate the Pali problem in short order. I hope to see that day happen.

Typical left-wing position of making "concessions" to groups as a reward for their violence and hate. That BS is what has gotten us into many of today's problems - thanks to your hero Clinton.

Why is it that the liberal commentators seem to forget that the US has some SERIOUS trump cards to drop down in case people decide to get really stupid with us ?

North Korea has just broken spades in the latest geopolitical game. Too bad (for them) that we've got ALL the high cards.

Like it's the world against Bush Huh?... These Demoncrats are nothing if not sinister.

Their design is to impugn Bush at every turn and if need be the US to get at Bush.

But what's really at stake here is the role of the US in the world. As the peace mongers demonstrated yesterday, there is no real rational other than to degrade Bush and the US, for the purpose of imposing a liberal's view of the world upon all. And for the time being, that is just alright with OBL/Islam, Saddam, France, Germany, NK, China, Russia and the rest of the tin-pot despots of the world... that is until the US has been defeated. Then they will turn against each other to impose their view of the world upon the other.

Seems there is no remembrance of the WTC, the Pentagon and the loss of life by those who claim a higher morality by peace mongering. Yet, would they be willing to make war against the war-makers to impose their peace. If not, then theirs is a hollow morality... but if so, then they're hypocrites, all.

Generally regarded as the most influencial president in the last half of the 20th century, I predict that Reagan's legacy will rise to the stature of Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington before the ink in history books of the 21st century is dry!!

Perhaps so.

3 wars are not a problem. We have plenty of nukes to put an end to any potential problems. Liberals will cry. But we will preserve our way of life. There is no reason for America to take a lot of casulties. Quick, decisive strikes will silence the ones who worry about bringing a lot of body bags home.

Of course, we should hold the Bush administration responsible for any drastic increase in anti-American activity resulting from attacking Iraq.

Sorry to disappoint you, but we're rooting for America here. We'll assign blame to those who attack America, and the terrorist sympatizers within our own borders who give them aid and comfort.

You know as well as I that the palestinian question (problem) is thornier then the settlements. else, why are the Pales on the outs with every arab nation. Israel has signaled many times that a peaceful settlement could be reached if and only if the terrorism stops. What makes you think that they want anything except to kill and be killed.

"North Korea is an embarrassing reminder of the complications of the world," said Chas Freeman, U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the Clinton administration.

If by "embarrassing reminder of the complications of the world," he means "embarrassing results of appeasement," he may have a point. But noting the mythos of "complexity", (the usual fig leaf of obvious liberal failures) I gather the fellow said exactly what he intended to. So Chas drops a steaming pile - hoping the stink will misdirect from the ones truly responsible.

That's you, Mr. Carter, Mr. Clinton.

It's simply amazing anyone survives, when people like these have power. Sadly, that might owe to the death tolls they invite, which eventually compel even the most dimwitted to pick a better course.

Amazing too, the sophistry that is generated shining the shoes of rank incompetents. No wonder humanities professors aren't out raking leaves.

The removal of Saddam is the "global war against terrorism."

Yup. This journalist is quite clueless. It's almost as if Bush if fighting 15 different wars: there's the war against Iraq, the war against Persia, the war against Farsi-speaking people, the war against Baathists, the war against Arabs, the war against Moslems, the war against terrorism ...

Sensible people know it's all one war: against Terrorism. Leftwing journalists want to describe it in such a way that it sounds like we're picking fights with the whole world just because Republicans are evil.
