TIRED of his partying ways, Shaquille O'Neal not only got married, he changed his religion as well. Spies said the Los Angeles Lakers star, formerly a Christian, is now a Muslim and good buddies with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan. "They are very close," said our source.
Farrakhan was even said to have presided over O'Neal's wedding to the mother of his three children, Shaunie Nelson, on Dec. 26 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. But a rep for People magazine which covered the wedding said, the official officiator was Judge Greg Mathis, although Farrakhan was a guest.
"Shaq is trying to keep his conversion under wraps because of all the anti-Muslim sentiments right now," we're told. O'Neal's agent, Mike Parris, said, "I don't comment on my clients' personal lives or religious beliefs."

While I strongly support youngster's participation in competitive sports, I also think that they are often pushed too hard and too fast for the benefit of adults.
In general, I do not approve of competiton beyond the state championship level for any student athlete of high school age. Younger children should not compete beyond the local level.

I am a baseball LOVER. It's the most pure of all sports. One simple reason? The game may never end. It has no time clock. The game, and summer just might go on forever. That alone makes it a beautiful game.
The Little League World Series IS "America" (More specifically, what it represents...Little League Baseball) is "America". Losing it would be like losing the Stock Exchange in my opinion.
Naaaah. Why punish all kids just because a few parents take things to extremes and push their own children too fast/far?
I'll take care of my kids, you and everyone else can take care of yours. I won't limit the possibilities for your kids as long as you won't do the same to mine.

Ummm...Dude. That inelegible player was able to play because of his LOCAL LEVEL coach and his parents! I guess you think it's OK to cheat on the local level but not the national or world level?
All your stance would do is punish those who play by the rules. No offense but that's a pretty "Liberal" stance.
And besides, "Plagued" is a misnomer. The Little League World Series has been played cleanly for years. It was bound to have some jerk try to ruin things sooner or later. That happens with everything.

Are you in favor of limiting children's financial earnings potential by banning child prostitution and pornography?
Yes, I picked an extreme situation which you likely do not support. But where do you draw the line? Society is what establishes such rules and regulations. I don't look at it as "limiting the possibilities" for children. Merely postponing them until a more appropriate age. If they want to engage in prostitution and pornography after they're adults, it's fine by me.
However, the New York State Supreme Court ruled in an immigration case in about 1892 that the "freedom of religion" promised in the First Ammendment does NOT extend to followers of "..impostors such as Mahommett," and that they "..are to be harassed."
This has never been overturned or vacated, so as it stands today, islam is illegal in the U.S.
The national/global attention provides the incentive for local collusive cheating. Take away that incentive and the locals become more self-regulating.

Hardly, he just wants to pay less taxes. I saw him arguing with Michael Savage on CNN's talkback live. Savage was explaining all the damage that the illegals do, and Barkley said "who gets to decide who to let in". I wanted to smack his ignorant face right then, Duhhh, the american people decide and pass laws on who gets in. We already have decided who gets in and those laws are being broken, our sovereignty is being spit on.
