SHAQUILLE JOINS FARRAKHAN'S FOLD

TIRED of his partying ways, Shaquille O'Neal not only got married, he changed his religion as well. Spies said the Los Angeles Lakers star, formerly a Christian, is now a Muslim and good buddies with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan. "They are very close," said our source.

Farrakhan was even said to have presided over O'Neal's wedding to the mother of his three children, Shaunie Nelson, on Dec. 26 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. But a rep for People magazine which covered the wedding said, the official officiator was Judge Greg Mathis, although Farrakhan was a guest.

"Shaq is trying to keep his conversion under wraps because of all the anti-Muslim sentiments right now," we're told. O'Neal's agent, Mike Parris, said, "I don't comment on my clients' personal lives or religious beliefs."

LOL! Now...I may have the name wrong but I've got the right person in mind. The cute little redhead who beat Michelle Kwan in a HUGE upset in figure skating.

She's a teenager. One with HUGE amounts of class.

I'll do a search and see if I can come up with a pic..

And if it wasn't for those under 21, women's gymnastics would be nothing but a bunch of short fat chicks.

While I strongly support youngster's participation in competitive sports, I also think that they are often pushed too hard and too fast for the benefit of adults.

In general, I do not approve of competiton beyond the state championship level for any student athlete of high school age. Younger children should not compete beyond the local level.

In addition to women's Olympic competition, this would also affect such bizarre spectacles as the Little League World Series. So be it.

Just as Britain and France were finally working to shut down the Atlantic slave trade, it was picking up in East Africa, and most of the slaves were being sold to kingdoms in Arabia and the Persian Gulf.[18] The Arabian peninsula in 1962 became the world's final region to officially abolish slavery,[19] yet even afterward Saudi Arabia alone was estimated to contain a quarter of a million slaves.[20] As many as 20 million Pakistanis (mainly Christians and lower-caste Muslims) are now being held in bondage.[21] Arab Muslims in the northern Sudan have been systematically starving the Black African adherents of traditional African religions and Christians in the south;[22] raids have also been taking slaves, a practice Sudan had once abolished.[23] In the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Arab-Berber Muslims from the north hold possibly over 100,000 Black African slaves from the south;[24] "aside from the shantytowns and a strip of land along the Senegal River, virtually all blacks are slaves and they are more than half the population."[25]

One African-American writer specializing in African history thus laments the confusion of many US youth, who "are dropping their white western slave masters' names and adopting, not African, but their Arab and Berber slave masters' names!"[26]

Yes, Sarah Hughes was only 16.
High School age, should be skating competitively at the state level only.
Plenty of time to compete nationally while she's in college.
And in the Olympics once she turns 21.

I'm not going to get into an argument about your other coments...Let's just say I disagree.

But as for this one...

In addition to women's Olympic competition, this would also affect such bizarre spectacles as the Little League World Series. So be it.

I am a baseball LOVER. It's the most pure of all sports. One simple reason? The game may never end. It has no time clock. The game, and summer just might go on forever. That alone makes it a beautiful game.

The Little League World Series IS "America" (More specifically, what it represents...Little League Baseball) is "America". Losing it would be like losing the Stock Exchange in my opinion.

Naaaah. Why punish all kids just because a few parents take things to extremes and push their own children too fast/far?

I'll take care of my kids, you and everyone else can take care of yours. I won't limit the possibilities for your kids as long as you won't do the same to mine.

It's pretty black and white with me.

Scandal plagued with inelegible players.
No wonder we wind up with Enron scams.
Little League is good at the local level.
It should not be promoted beyond that.

Ummm...Dude. That inelegible player was able to play because of his LOCAL LEVEL coach and his parents! I guess you think it's OK to cheat on the local level but not the national or world level?

All your stance would do is punish those who play by the rules. No offense but that's a pretty "Liberal" stance.

And besides, "Plagued" is a misnomer. The Little League World Series has been played cleanly for years. It was bound to have some jerk try to ruin things sooner or later. That happens with everything.

"For the life of me, I don't understand why Americans continue to financially support professional sports. Your money is going directly into the coffers of criminals, drug abusers, black militants, and muslims."

You paint with a broad brush. I agree that these athletes are overpaid and pampered, they get what the market pays, and not all are criminals, drug abusers, black militants, or muslims. Remember Sir Charles Barkley, famous basketball star? He's a proud conservative. His mother once castigated him for voting Republican all the time, telling him that it is a 'party for the rich'. He responded by reminding his mother, 'But I am rich'. I know not everyone is a fan of his, but he is down to earth and seems to appreciate what he has and how lucky he is to have gotten it.

South Park Republicans hate political correctness and this islam is peace bs. They tend to dislike the museum of tolerance and such. I think you need another name.

How libertarian of you.
Where do you draw your black and white line?
Are you in favor of limiting children's financial earnings potential by banning child prostitution and pornography?

Yes, I picked an extreme situation which you likely do not support. But where do you draw the line? Society is what establishes such rules and regulations. I don't look at it as "limiting the possibilities" for children. Merely postponing them until a more appropriate age. If they want to engage in prostitution and pornography after they're adults, it's fine by me.

"I am sure our forefathers were wary of the islam religion and how its main goal was to convert the world, but I dont believe I have read any of their thoughts on the subject."

However, the New York State Supreme Court ruled in an immigration case in about 1892 that the "freedom of religion" promised in the First Ammendment does NOT extend to followers of "..impostors such as Mahommett," and that they "..are to be harassed."

This has never been overturned or vacated, so as it stands today, islam is illegal in the U.S.

The national/global attention provides the incentive for local collusive cheating. Take away that incentive and the locals become more self-regulating.

Hardly, he just wants to pay less taxes. I saw him arguing with Michael Savage on CNN's talkback live. Savage was explaining all the damage that the illegals do, and Barkley said "who gets to decide who to let in". I wanted to smack his ignorant face right then, Duhhh, the american people decide and pass laws on who gets in. We already have decided who gets in and those laws are being broken, our sovereignty is being spit on.
