If you did not see Hannity and Colmes tonight, please watch the repeat. If one did not know the vulnerability of some of our military in a certain location, they do now. I am so upset by this, because I believe it was solely done for Hackworth to get air time. If he was so concerned about the lives of those involved, he should have address this to military authorities and not blather this over the media. Please watch Hannity and Colmes repeat tonight.

I understand your sentiment but if the brass won't listen, and in my experience they can be hard-headed, then media exposure can get people off their butts. I would imagine that the Col. would always try to persuade brrass privately before taking it to the public.

I heard him on Mike Reagan's show tonight. Did he say what his source was for his information? He never did on the radio.

I would not be so concerned about the things that you see on these programs.
There is an incredible amount of "News" out here.
My post here is probably the worst thing that you will learn of today.

Hackworth proves with every appearance that he is obscure, obsuse and obsolete with his opinions.

I understand what you are saying, but I find it unnecessary to go into how vulnerable they are as Hackworth did on worldwide tv. Their location, and everything else. I really think that sometimes these has beens talk entirely too much.

Why should he have not gone to the press? It is not like the goverment has a good record of fixing problems till they are exposed in a very public way.
Go to the same people that are responsible for our troups not being protected? They made the mess and have more to gain by covering it up than they do by fixing it.
I think history will back me up on this.

It would be nice if I had some slight idea what you are talking about. It's not like it is secure information anymore.
To: TexKat
Don't forget this is the same military that is trying to send two fighter pilots to prison for 50+ years because they were trying to defend themselves.

Hackworth is a hack.
To: TankerKC
No, he only said a reliable source and then he said after talking to Hannity earlier today, he verified it with 2 other people. No sources names mentioned.

Probably for the same reason that he tried that with the Gulf War sickness and the Pentagon refusal to listen. Eight years later we have almost 120,000 vets in bad trouble with their health. The truth is that the military has always been lax with letting the run of their troops have ammo.
Some of their suspicion is warranted because a lot of the kids had no experience with weapons before service. The guys from the midwest were raised with firearms and they could be trusted. Drilling and discipline can cure a lot of problems but troops need to learn to protect themselves.

Hackworth is nothing more than a hack.
Sleeze - oppourtunist - scum, etc.
Same class as what's his name - Ritter? - the UN inspector that keeps trying to get some mileage for his own good.
Trash.

Hackworth is a media tool. Nothing more. He has lost what little credibility he ever had. But he looks & sounds great for the general public. Sorta like Jerry Rivera...sound bites from the front and alll that crap.

Hackworth, decorated vet that he is, is an idiot. Those who pay any attention to what he says need to rethink their positions. He consistently does more harm than good to our military.
I am a veteran.
To: Khurkris
What has he be wrong about that caused him to lose credibility?
