I posted my analysis on ATRW...
The Dems didn't get what they were demanding just yesterday...
On the other hand, 60/40 is a little better for them than the Majority/Minority settlement pre 2000, which was 2/3//1/3, I believe.

IMO we caved, if we're not going to demand traditional breakdowns on staffing. The Dems played hardball and gained 7% of funding which will come out of the rightful party's pocket. Does anyone seriously thing the Republicans would have accomplished this if they had played hardball? We are a bunch of wimps. All them Dems have to do is make a lot of noise and they are sure to gain ground on every issue.
The Republicans spent the last 60 years getting 33% funding. Now they give the Dems 40%. Yep, we won alright. Sheesh!

Should be 66 : 34....
UNLESS it ALSO APPLIES TO JUDICIARY COMMITTEE since Hatch gave away a 50:50 split

Exactly!
And the intelligence committee will NOT have GOP and DNC staffers; the staffers will work for them ALL.

The only reason the Dems let us keep our 50/50 funding in the last Congress was their GUILT at having stolen the majority away from the will of the people by subterfuge and betrayal.
I say offer them 60/40 and that's our final offer.
