Christians in Pakistan Need Your Help

Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Nadia Anwer and I am a director of Sunday school of Christ Revival Church Lahore, Pakistan. There are about 150 children learning about Jesus in our Sunday School. We often take them to other churches where they learn from other teachers also. We also take them to different programs arranged by Scripture Union Pakistan so that they may learn more. I have 5 permanent volunteer teachers working with me and I also call a few other volunteers to help me in different programs, whenever it is needed. In our Sunday School children also learn by drama. On every Christmas and Easter children perform different dramas regarding Christmas and Easter. By this people can learn more about our savior.

Currently we are in great need to get free flash cards, biblical videos, pictures of Bible stories, pupetes and Sunday School teachers training material. We do not want them in the form of software we want them in book form because we can use pictures books in rural areas also. Kindly tell us what you can do in this matter.

Don't worry, once the US love fest ends with Pakistan, they'll recognize it for the evil that it is...it might just take 10 or 20 years, like in Sudan, and a couple of million lives...but eventually the US Congress will get around to it...right after giving themselves their usual 10% raises.

I've never heard of a Pakistani missionary sending out an email to folks they don't know asking for money. That's just not how it's done.

I give through the Voice of the Martyrs, who are very active in many Islamic countries, helping with material and spiritual supplies for both Christians and non-Christians. They specialize in meeting the needs of the persecuted, and Pakistan has lots of those.

Pakistan
Pakistan gained independence from Britain in 1947, but has been unstable ever since. Its people have suffered through three wars and endured military regimes and corrupt governments. Today, militant Islamic forces in Pakistan have initiated much violence against Christians. Many Pakistani Christians have been falsely accused of breaking Law 295c (blaspheming Mohammed)—a crime punishable by death. Some have even been killed by mobs after being acquitted of such charges. In 1998 a proposal was made to officially adopt Muslim Sharia law as the law of the land, which would bring about even more persecution. Despite hardships, Christians continue in love and perseverance, boldly sharing Christ. Pray that the Sharia law proposal is defeated in Pakistan’s parliament.

If the request was for money I would have deleted it and I would not have posted it in this forum. The request is for Bibles and for other Christian educational materials, prayer books, videos, and the like.
