I'm having a little difficulty believing they're gonna hold off until Sat to dive. Given the relative shallow depths and bottom times, I would think nitrogen saturation wouldn't be a problem after a 24 hour interval.
They are using only LE divers and reportedly, one of them suffered a ruptured eardrum yesterday.
I talked with a couple of the Stanislaus County (Modesto) divers last year. They are well trained and in great shape. Sadly, they go out on body recoveries too many times around here.

I'm having a little difficulty believing they're gonna hold off until Sat to dive. SF CBS affiliate is now reporting that the sonar is not available until Saturday. They specified the position of the object as near a fishing pier about 2 miles out, so I doubt that they're trying to flush out the husband if he did it.

FWIW, we had some pretty steady rain for a couple hours this morning, all through Silicon Valley. I don't know if that stirs up mud, or if muddy water is now coming into that bay, etc.

Someone sabove said the depths were 5-30'. You could stay down forever and not worry about nitrogen.
