But to lead them to where the body is? It just doesn't make sense that they'd find her there.

You are right .. it makes no sense

My guess is that Peterson may have had a habbit of beating his wife .. but this time he went to far and killed her ..

Mark Furman made a comment (I think it was tonight) that why did he call the police went he got home

She was 8 months pregnant .. why not call her family or friends or her OB Doctor or the hospital to see if she was there having the baby .. instead he called the police

A lake is not the Bay. And on any given day 1000 could have fallen in. Probably ballot boxes from San Francisco taken with the tide. Best of luck to the missing.

I saw that LOL! Now where was Julian???

Though it makes me sad when I remember Barbara Olson. She was always such a great counter to those two.

Yes. And the police homed in on the husband fairly quickly. Ordinarily not a difficult call, but nowadays, who knows how they will respond. But he doesn't have the Ramseys' attorneys. I mean, the guy's wife is due in two weeks and he takes an all-day solo and unsubstantiated fishing trip 80 miles away on Christmas eve? They are following his trail, calculating that he disposed of the body somewhere along the way. They are probably on the right trail.

I heard that tonight. It really amazes me that if it turns out he killed her that he'd basically tell them where to find her.

Almost like he wanted to get caught.

Well, you obviously are not keeping up with the latest theories:

To: texasbluebell

Friend (F) says that former highschool boyfriend now living away from Modesto, could have been back in town for Christmas to visit his own family, and thought he would go and look up old Laci, perhaps not knowing she was pregnant or other circumstances.

Women in late pregnancy sometimes get turned off of their husbands, suddenly boyish First Love shows up, she melts, away they go.

By the time reality begins to dawn, the police have been notified, a search is on...he knows he is in trouble, knows she will call home if he turns his back, may feel he has no choice but to kill her.

Another idea is this, HER relatives are so effusive, go way beyond the c o d to praise Scott to the heavens, how great he is, while his own parents and SIX siblings...are more ordinary and restrained...

Can it be that Laci's family and siblings know something WE don't? That perhaps she was a bit of a problem, a little bit wild, had gone into what her family didn't approve of, and this Scott brought her back to earth, saved her from a life of drugs or promiscuity or whatever...they may have been very grateful to him, felt their own sister had feet of clay, tended to think when this happened, oh, no, there SHE goes again, ...and not even THINK of blaming Scott...

I don't know about you, but I automatically assume anybody he's defending is guilty as sin.

has approximate signature of body

What a bunch of BS....they see a lump on the graph bottom and its a "signature"...it could be any piece of of junk.

The general public that laps this crap up astounds me.

And the cops get off on it.

Well what Furman said makes sense

I also remember the other day when Geraldo was interviewing Laci's friends .. there was one girl would didn't seem to want to come right out and say she didn't think the husband had nothing to do with her disappearance

Geralda had to ask her a couple of time and she didn't seem convincing .. IMO I think she had doubts

Almost like he wanted to get caught.

Could be .. There have been cases where after a husband shoots his wife, he then turns the gun on himself ..

Maybe Peterson is feeling the guilt and that is why he is acting like this

Hollywood presents killers as virtual rocket scientist. In reality killers are so stupid they can't figure out simple solutions to simple problems.

In this situation he could have walked out on the marriage rather than spend the rest of his life behind bars. Stupid is as stupid does.

This makes no sense. Why go to the Berkeley Marina, kill your wife and unborn son, dump her body there and then go back and tell the police that you were at the Berkeley Marina??

If help was really sought by or for the husband and was denied the day before the husband shot himself in the face, and killed his pregnant wife and unborn child, I'd say someone at the hospital screwed up big-time.

Not all lawsuits are without merit.
