This sounds like something right out of an 80s punk song (actually, more of a rant with guitars), "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies. I bet I know what she wanted to drink with that cookie...

I thought I was going to see a brawl in the G Street Fabric store the other day. The lady cutting the fabric appeared arabic and the uppity woman ordering several things cut and then complaining and changing her mind appeared to be from Pakistan or India. It was tense in there until the manager came in to break things up.

A Belleville woman who couldn't have the cookie she craved is behind bars for attacking an employee at a shopping mall cookie stand, police said Thursday. 
"She became enraged that they didn't have the cookie she wanted to consume," said Ann Arbor police Sgt. Andrew Zazula.
The clash happened at Briarwood Mall about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Laura Smith, 25, (pictured, left) "exchanged words" with the 20-year-old clerk, picked up a two-pound box of tissue wrappers and hurled it at the clerk, Zazula said.
The box struck the clerk in the face, he said, breaking her glasses.
Smith then went around the counter and reportedly punched the clerk. Police say the clerk is pregnant, but the attack caused no major injuries to her or her unborn baby.
Smith spent the night in Washtenaw County Jail and is now facing an assault and battery charge, Local 4 reported. Zazula said she had been complaining about being jailed over the confrontation but that she had been cooperating.
Smith faces up to 93 days in jail on the charges.
According to reports, Smith was looking for a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie.
