Senator Murray's criticism of Trent Lott:
"Like all Americans, I was disturbed by Senator Murray's comments. They were offensive, hurtful and wrong. Worst of all, they do not appear to be isolated remarks.
At a time when our country should stand as one, Senator Murray's comments serve only to divide."
This from the woman who praised the humanitarianism of bin Laden.
I encourage all of you to email her with the following text:
"Like all Americans, I was disturbed by Senator Lott's comments. They were offensive, hurtful and wrong. Worst of all, they do not appear to be isolated remarks.
At a time when our country should stand as one, Senator Lott's comments serve only to divide."

Sorry, what I meant to say in the "email her" portion was:
"Like all Americans, I was disturbed by Senator Murray's comments. They were offensive, hurtful and wrong. Worst of all, they do not appear to be isolated remarks.
At a time when our country should stand as one, Senator Murray's comments serve only to divide."
SORRY!

I would refresh Sen. Murray's memory with a E-Mail asking which US Senator Spoke these immortal words?
"I did not call Paul Fray a F--king Jew Bastard."
A hint, her husband spoke these immortal words, "I did not have sexual relations with that women".

I find it most interesting that for 2 weeks or more Trent Lott was daily on the front page of the local rag, above the fold. Yet, today, in the Sunday paper, this story made a 200 word blurb, without a photo, on page 8. Gee, I wonder why!

Senator Murray's despicable praise of Bin Ladin and blame of America are not the isolated comments of a lone ignorant Democrat. Instead, they are symptomatic of a deep strain of core belief that permeates the Democratic party. Most Democrat party professionals really do believe that America is to blame and actually deserved to be victimized by Bin Ladin. Murray was just the latest Democrat to be stupid enough to say it out loud. But in their hearts, most of them feel this way.

Absoulutely true, so many Rats have the same misguided opinions. The funny thing is, of our two US Senators, Murray's the "smart" one, in the way that you might describe Moe as the "smart" Stooge. I'd like to hope that the tail of Seattle that wags the dog of Washington would just hang its head in shame during the next election for her seat, but they're the same ones who are proud of Baghdad Jim McDermott, too, so no such luck.
I've never been so embarrassed to be a Washingtonian as I have been since her remarks came out.

Freedom of speech. I'll defend Senator Murray here. She can state that BinLaden earns support because he provides day care centers
(day care centers???...why???...so Moslem mothers can pursue their careers?), health care, roads, etc. I would hope that she can back this statement up with research. If that's why Moslems support him, if it's true, well, we should know that.
If the Republicans really want to do something about the situation they created by not defending Senator Lott, they can still do the right thing (pun intended). They can have Frist withdraw and keep Trent Lott as Senate Majority Leader. I bet he'd be pretty effective after the character assassination he just endured.
If it isnt' Trent Lott, can I assume that the administration's choice will keep the promise to put through the partial birth abortion ban as soon as congress is in session?
