NEW YORK (CNN) -- Former President Clinton said Wednesday it is "pretty hypocritical" of Republicans to criticize incoming Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott for stating publicly what he said the GOP does "on the back roads every day."
"How do they think they got a majority in the South anyway?" Clinton told CNN outside a business luncheon he was attending. "I think what they are really upset about is that he made public their strategy."

The First "Black" President.....
"After he was sued in the late 1980s by the NAACP's Legal Defense Fund for failing to enforce the Voting Rights Act in Arkansas, then-Gov. Bill Clinton suggested to a group of pro-segregation whites that they were being unfairly targeted by civil rights laws as a result of the South's loss in the Civil War, according to one-time Clinton administration Civil Rights Division nominee Lani Guinier."

Clinton putting his worthless 2 cents in will guarantee that the GOP will unify behind Lott and Lott will stay as ML. Daschle has got to be cursing Clinton under his breath about now.

Clinton's remarks are just the pot calling the kettle white.
The closest slick ever got to blacks was by bedding black females.

Clinton likes Lott. Clinton wants Lott to stay in charge. He does now. He's helping to force Lott into being "the first black senator."

You are so right!
The rats want a weakened and compromised SML in place.
If Lott remains, they will use this against him at opportune times.

This from the mother of all hypocrites!

Daschle has got to be cursing Clinton under his breath about now.Not necessarily. I don't imagine the Dem. leadership is anxious to get rid of Lott as ML. In my opinion,he has helped the Dems. out quite a bit. They might not get things their way so easily with the person who succeeds him!
I heard on the news the other day that Lott had 'threatened' to resign the Senate if he couldn't stay as ML. That was apparently a LIE! It was the MS Gov. Ronnie Musgrove who suggested that Trent wouldn't want to stay, and was salivating at the prospect of appointing a Dem. in his place. Of course the news idiots reported it that Trent had said it. Typical.

And a fact that the Dems don't want made public about Strom Thurmond...from his biography:
1964 Switched from Democratic to Republican Party, September 16, 1964 (delegate to six Democratic and six Republican National Conventions)
He was a Dem in 1948!

It's his big day today, the anniversary of his impeachment. The historical high point of his public career.
Nice of CNN to remind us.

It's his big day today, the anniversary of his impeachment. Where's the party being held? It's like celebrating the new year! LOL.

Uhuh, but its okay for Herr Klinton to praise Fullbright, a giant in the segregationist movement as his mentor and a wonderful person.
As usual the slick one accuses others of his own sins, what an evil piece of sh&t he is.
