I dont take offense to anything unless the people "offending" specifically do me harm. Physically or with regard to my origin. If it is a joke that I do not like, I will tell them so and I haven't had to do that yet.

On a final note, it is Christmas and I am much to tired and busy to go into a detailed focus on racism and the US. I will say that the Wendys commercial is the LAST thing I take seriously.

Mr. Sanders(Who is probably comfortably Upper Middle Class.), needs to realize that among all of the injustices in the world, this stupid commercial is BY FAR the least of them.

I have to agree with you. He is obviously a member of the group that I think of as the Permanently Offended and Aggrieved. These are people who routinely label everything racist, demand that the entire world walk around on egg shells for fear of offending them, and need to be placated for every silly greivance they can dream up. Their most current victim is Senator Trent Lott.

Poor Senator Lott is running around offering a desperate apology to every warm body he meets, unaware that the Permanently Offended and Aggreived can never be appeased.

I hate it when idiots presume to speak for the deceased. My best friend met Mr Thomas a few years ago and actually had a long chat with him, and he seemed like a man of character, even if his burgers suck.

I, however, find it repugnant because it plays on one of the worst emotions of human beings -- prejudice.

Prejudice is one of the fundamental bases of human interpretative behavior. Anyone who says otherwise is either attempting to spout self-righteous garbage or just a fool. The difference that people like this idiot miss out on is that between rational and irrational prejudice...

What sympathy I had for Lott, as he is gradually disemboweled by the media, is long gone after the BET interview. That was the most shameful groveling I've seen in a while. I am well aware of the political consequences of losing Lott, but I think he and the Permanently Offended deserve each other.
