I'm sure that's an apt screen name.

My thoughts exactly. It's amazing how great minds think alike.

Harvey Krishna, Far Out! Can I smoke some of what you've got bro'?

Your ignorance of the evolution of 'liberalism' and 'conservatism' is breath-taking. Go take a course in the history of ideas since the 17th century.

The Communist party of North Korea is a good example of classic liberalism.

Stoned bed-wetting imbecile alert.

Democrats are for social liberty?

Why? Because they cater to the gay vote?

Here are some of the social liberties that they restrict or would like to restrict:
Gun ownership
Father's rights
College admissions for the most qualified candiates
Jobs for the most qualified candidates
Public expression of Judeo/Christian beliefs
Right to life
Free speech
The kind of car you drive
How much carbon you are allowed to emit
The maximum amount of money you can earn
Who is allowed to educate your children
What you are allowed to do with your own land when it conflicts with nature

I could go on.

Oh, yes. They would like to restrict recreational drug usage too. If that's the only thing that's important to you then go ahead and vote Libertarian so you can pretend that you are principled. Ignore the world around you and do the drugs.

... the two major parties chopped the definitons in half and made a swap of idealoligies. The republicans got to be for a free market(somewhat) economy but had to support gov't medeling in people's personal lives.

Spel checkors ar yur freind...

Will the splitting of these particles result is a free energy source for the rest of us? No, of course not, the two major parties are too beholden to Big Oil and Big Cars, and Big Electricity...

FREEP THIS POLL

Our bed-wetting friend

(1) Is reading the replies to his post, in stunned disbelief at its hostile reception, or

(2) Has gone on to something else, having forgotten all about it.

Well, you see the problem with splitting definitons, I think - the Republicans get free markets and some other thing that's...bad, I guess. And the Democrats turn into North Korea. Clearly the internal forces of the definiton are too powerful to be controlled.

"the Party that never clears 3% in the voting"

A few don't factor-in whether they stand alone when measuring good & evil. The remaining majority offer popularity as factual evidence of good, as you have done here.

Holding principle over convenience does not obligate applause from others. Neither does it warrant ridicule, especially from those safely flocking with the popular.

If the approval of, or membership in the herd carries no import with my judgements; do you really think ridicule will raise any self-doubt, or make your party more attractive? Is there any reason in support of your party, or does reason only provide shameing those that don't.

As both practice this same strategy, I have to ask; are you a Republican or Democrat.
