RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Al Gore said Monday he's "at peace" with his decision to forgo what could be his last shot at the White House, mostly because a rematch with President Bush in 2004 would force him to revisit the ordeal of their last go-round.

That miserable man isn't doing this because he is afraid of issues being focused on the past-he has been out there FOCUSING issues on the his loss since it happened (with the exception of his european adventure-the fat, the booze, the beard and the general do-nothing vacation he and tippy took). In fact-just weeks ago he was asking a crowd he was addressing if they remembered how they 'felt' (oh gag me with a chad) when the election fiasco came down?
Gore is always gore-no matter how much people say he is changing his image. He will never change his nature. He is a liar. Billy klinton chose his VP well. Billy knew exactly what kind of an ambitious, willing to do anything to win kind of guy gore is.
What gore should have said, when announcing his unstellar decision to run, is " I am not running because I don't want a defeat in 2004 to take away from the fact that I won the popular vote."
Oh well, I guess we can be glad he is announcing his 2004 defeat now. Better than having him quit while in the race like democrats seem to think is a good way to increase their chances of winning. What jerks dems are. Puke city.
The big question now is, should the RAT primary campaign slogan be:
or
"The AP and Al re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-revisit the 2000 Florida re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-recounts....and Al concedes that the election was stolen...again and again and again and again and again and again...."
All right...that's too long for a title, but it sums up the entire 'article' in a lot fewer words.
Translation: "Whenever people see me they think of what an enormous LOSER I was in the past election. I was hoping that some people would have hopes that I could do better in the future, but our polls indicate that no one feels that way."
but watch out for HRC!!
