This is Perfect! After all the times Trent Lott has Rolled over for Tom Daschle, The Democrat MINORITY!, and the Congressional Black Caucus - his so-called "racism" is now all he hears!
Maybe NOW he understands that his 'appeasement' and trying to be 'best pals' with the Dems will never work. They just laugh at him and wee it as a weakness.
Anyone know how to post the picture?

The decision is made, so that's the way it will be. Lott will stay no matter how his detractors wee it. No doubt his popularity amongst the Black Caucus will suffer as a result. His suport will drop from zero to extra small zero. Or maybe not. Who knows, he might gain support if any of the Black Caucus become fully conscious.

It does appear that Lott will be the Majority Leader in January. At first I didn't know how I thought the Republicans should handle this. I thought, politically, Lott was finished. I had mixed emotions about that, because I think he has always been ineffective as a leader.
I now think it vital that he stay on, and the Democrat and their press wing are the reason I think this way. Anyone that thinks a Lott capitulation will cause all this to go away is delusional. They will simply go after his replacement with the same zeal.
The question is how compliant Lott will be in dealing with Democrats in the future. After al, his past wimpiness has availed him zip in this issue. Is there hope that the last week will effect an infusion of spine in Lott for January and beyond?
