Something remarkable is happening to sexual predators in Arizona, if they happen to be Latino
At some point between conviction and placement on the official Arizona Sex Offender Website, Latinos are transformed into Caucasians.
Here are a few examples (mug shots and addresses omitted, but available on the site)

Notice that the racial designation for these sex offenders with Spanish surnames is "W," as in "White." The mugshots wouldn't link, but you can go look for yourself, these convicted Sexual Predators are unmistakably Latino.
Is it a reasonable expectation that Arizona police reports on sexual crimes routinely identify Latino suspects as being White?
So, why is the Arizona Department of Public Safety routinely classifying Latino sex offenders as being White? According to their website, there doesn't appear to be a Latino sex offender in the entire State of Arizona.
Don't believe me? Test it yourself.
Go to the Arizona Sex Offender Website.
Then click on "search" over on the left.
You'll get a dropdown menu. Choose "name."
In the search field, enter any Latino surname you can think of... Valdez, Jimenez, Gomez, etc. Submit Query.
Then click on one of the profiles that comes up. You'll get a mugshot of a Latino sex offender, with some vital statistics.
Then look at the perp's race. "W." Always "W."
Latino sex offenders in AZ are routinely being reclassified as Caucasians.
I wonder why? I wonder where else this is happening?

Nice trick, huh?
I'm not suggesting that Latinos are any more or less likely than Whites to commit sexual crimes, I have no information on that. I'm only pointing out that in some wild-eyed delusion of Political Correctness, Arizona's true numbers of Latino sex offenders are being hidden as White.
Black sex offenders, however, are classified as Black. Is it discrimination if they can't be classified as White also?

My guess is that there is no special designation, Latino, in the criminal justice system. Convicts are probably either Black or White. I wonder whether they label Asians, Pacific Islanders, Semitic people. Their statistics are meaningless if all non-Black prisoners are labelled, White.

Latino/Hispanic is not a race, it is an enthnicity. There are only a few "races": White, Black, Asian, and maybe Aboriginal and a few others. Mexico was colonized by the Spanish, who are definitely White Europeans. Sorry you think your gene pool has been muddled.

They do the same thing with many hate crime statistics. Hispanics are white unless they can be counted as a victim of white hate crimes, I have seen them go so far as to count a hispanic attack on another hispanic as a white on hispanic crime.
To: Sabertooth
Hispanics are only "Hispanic" when they are victims of crimes, especially hate crimes. When they are the perpetrators, they are classified as white.

How do you know if they are "Latino"? They could be 100% indian from Mexico or further South. Or maybe Spanish.

What do you want to bet that when a police report is filed in a sexual assault case, and the victim describes the perp as Latino, the police report does too?

That is my point, Hispainics are only Hispainic when it is convenient for liberal divide and conquer strategy.
Anyway, 100% Mexican Indians would be considered Native Americans where I live. The local Indian tribe accepts all "Natives", regardless of tribal heritage. They are losing numbers so quickly that they find a generic Native American label to be much more useful. As a matter of fact, it has enabled them to sue the city of Blaine for desecrating a "tribal burial ground" regardless of the fact that it was not their tribe's. It belonged to an Indian tribe that moved to Canada.

I used to work for the federal government in public health. The only categories for race available are white, black, asian/pacific islander and american indian/alaskan native. Hispanic is considered to be an ethnicity so hispanics can be of any race. For example, native Filipinos are considered Hispanic Pacific Islanders. Gladys O'Leary from Boston would be consisdered non-Hispanic White.
since the feds collect all this data from the states they make them conform to the standard. I agree that it skews things and maybe that is what they want after all.

I seem to recall a number of designations for Latinos on the Federal Cencus forms in 2000. Go figure.
BTW, not every state reclassifies Latino Sex Offenders as White. Texas doesn't.

I believe this PRACTICE was exposed long ago by reviewing FBI statistics. The FBI stats refer to hispanics as white when the statistic is crime but then revert back to hispanic for positive statistics. It was something like that.. if you review annual FBI stats you can see the pattern I'm talking about

Mexico was colonized by the Spanish, who are definitely White Europeans. Mexico was conquered by the Spanish but the colonization consisted of relatively few Spaniards inter-marrying with the native Mesoamerican population.
The current Mexican demographic breakdown is as follows:
mestizo (Amerindian-Spanish) 60%
Amerindian or predominantly Amerindian 30%
white 9%
other 1%
The article does presume, however, that anybody with a Spanish surname automatically qualifies as a Mexican Mestizo or a Mexican Amerindian. By the logic of determining race by surname, Shaquielle O'Neil would be Irish.

Its been several years sisnce I did that work, so I don't doubt that they've expanded or changed the categories in some way.
I tend to agree with your idea that data is collected and reported in a manner that suits the ends of the people doing the collecting and reporting. I've seen it happen all too often.

Kind of a dumbassed statement, given that my daughter is half Philippino.
That shouldn't get in the way of your race-baiting though. Nor should the police practice of identifying suspects as Latino, nor the practice of the Census Bureau of attempting to identify Latinos within the greater population.
No, the transparency of your racist agenda is no reason to stop now.

At this point, I'm beginning to not want to be White, we're responsible for all the world's problems - oh, wait a minute, that the Joos- but anyway, it's all our fault. The world would starve to death without us but it's all our fault. Aids, yes, Aids, was invented by white devils. In short, why not lump all criminals in the White category, it would have made a much more entertaining OJ trial. /rant
