Boondocks "Cartoon": GOP Like Al Qaida, Destroys World
Most Leftist Papers ^ | 11-30-02 | GRRRRR

Posted on 11/30/2002 7:21:24 AM PST by GRRRRR

Seems the leftist "wit" of McGruder has no bounds. Today's strip, shows Huey at the computer, composing an EMAIL to:

"Dear al-Qaida,...Thought you might like to hear my suggestion on how to bring the Western World to humiliating ruin...Step 1: Flood the United States with as many covert operatives as possible over the next two years. Step 2: Order them to vote REPUBLICAN in the 2004 election. Step 3: Kick feet up and wait for most of world to be destroyed. Claim responsibility.

Sorry, but the site prevents linking to the actual comic...but the copy says it all.

This jerk McGruder has had a free ride and he can say what he wants under "freedumb of the press", however, this strip is really outrageous! Just more proof the left is looney and is losing it...

Feel free to FReep at some of the emails/phones below...

Back during Election 2000, "The Boondocks" got moved where it belonged; to the editorial page of the local fishwrap (although I was holding out for moving it to my local roll of Charmin). To call this little twerp's scribblings a "comic strip" dishonors the definition.

Maybe a freeper with art talent can make a daily cartoon of the writer doing things like molesting little boys, etc. I am sure he would enjoy seeing his caricture doing what comes natural to him...

I am waiting for Little Tommy to voice his "concern" over the hateful message of this so-called comic strip.

Maybe Daschle will condemn it during his next touchy-feely press conference.

I think he has a point. Let Al Qaida try it. The plan will backfire as all Liberals and terrorists are expunged over time by the Republicans and our nation sees a return to self determination and personal responsibility. I could live with that.

Thanks for the article post and the cartoon graph post.

It used to be an unwritter rule in the U.S. that criticism of the President stopped at the borders. The 'RATS have thrown out the rule book.

The media and the 'RATS are shamelessly in bed together on this, imho.....

I'm a GOOD 'RAT !

Democrats are a strange bunch especially their leaders. They complain about politics of personnel destruction when that is how they try to divide the country. They have little pride in America, it seems that the American people serve for their pleasure only. If you don't cotton to the democratic line, you aren't American. They used the surplus for other countries and other people when there was much to do here at home. They take our best technologies and sell them to nations that will use the knowledge against us. They lack an enormous amount of integrity and don't seem to care as they flaunt sleazy ethics and morality in our faces.

We didn't have a government for the people under the Clinton administration, what we had was a Democrats Only need apply type of government and now they are attempting to replace a People's Government with their tired old arguments about an education system they didn't fix in 8 years, a health care program they messed up and couldn't fix in 8 years, a social security system they say needs fixing and did nothing about it in 8 years when in reality that system is fine as long as lawmakers don't spend the money that social security is meant for; they spent 8 years hiring federal workers with no qualifications as long as it meant a democratic vote leaving behind a dumbed down, bloated army of sleazy federal laborers who have plundered their departments of millions in dollars and equipment.

Democrats seem to have no respect, no real base from which true justice can spring, only justice that bends for them. They have no enthusiasm for country/nation, no pride, just the spoils from a rich nation for the DNC. They continue to huddle with shady and corrupt people both here in America and abroad for reasons that only benefit them. They are elitists and exclude the real Americans as they race for the Marxist Utopia they have dreamed about...where individual successes are discouraged in favor of a commune like population. They have learned nothing from failed socialism or failed communism; they still want to live like kings all the while painting a glowing picture of togetherness for the masses who work for them. It is called Slavery, servitude to a few at the top, domination over the people through higher taxes and rules and regulations. Democrats want a Unionized nation/world of bondage and they can surely have it by dividing the country with the deceptive lies they and the press propagandize with daily.

Stand tall Americans and stand firmly for the principals of our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, both of which are like the fabled Vampires silver cross or spike to the leading democrats, they don't want you to have either; it is these people who would return this country to the quagmire of corruption of the Clinton/Gore/Reno years.

There is one good way to get at the pocketbook of this goofball, and that is through the circulation departments of the rags that carry his hate cartoons.

This so-called "comic" strip belongs on the editorial page, not next to the likes of "Peanuts" and "Beetle Bailey." I once saw an interview with the creator of "Boondocks." He's a young, African American guy who is completely filled with hatred for anything conservative. When asked what he thought about Dubya, he responded, "George W. Bush can go to hell."

The strange thing about guys like this and Ted Rall is that they aren't even funny. Leftists at least used to be funny sometimes. "Doonesbury" might have been at its peak when Watergate was going on, for example. It's fallen down to MacGruder's level now, of course.

One difference was that the satire was more sophisticated then. "Doonesbury" might base a strip on how Nixon's press secretary Ron Ziegler would talk during press conferences. They had one strip when a White House staffer was asking what Ziegler would do if Nixon resigned. "Oh, he'll probably get his old job back." another staffer said. (Ziegler had once worked at Disneyland.)

The last frame shows a tour boat at Disneyland, and someone asking "Hey mister, is that a hippo or a lion?"

"Kid, it would be inappropriate for me to respond at this time." came the reply. The satire wasn't mean, but it made its point and was worth a chuckle. It assumed a more sophisticated audience, also. It assumed the audience knew who was the press secretary, how he talked, and what he used to do.

MacGruder has never shown he knows anything about the Bush administration beyond knowing the names of five people who work there. He's never shown he's done enough research to subtly satirize the way the press secretary would talk, for example. All he can do is preach to the converted. He can say "Bush is evil" and the 30 percent of the nation that agrees can say "Right on!" It's a baby's game.

When _Boomdocks_ first appeared, I read it for a while, just to see what the fuss was about. It was amusing once in a while and, sometimes, thought provoking. The Dallas Morning News moved it off the comic pages but did not move it to the editorial page, Doonesbury is the only one there. The DMN does not carry _Mallard Filmore_ although the Fort Worth Startlegram does, but on the comic pages, where it prints Doonesbury.

I occassionally read _Boondocks_ and get the impression that it has become much more frantic than before. My opinion is that the author has developed a significant reliance on the use of chemical substances and that this usage has excited his imagination and decreased his judgment. I wouldn't want this guy driving in my town. At the same time, he does have a following and his arrest for any good cause would unleash folks of the Belafonte ilk.

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
