On the eve of Thanksging in the continental United States we pause to remember those who are overseas.
Many of our service men and women will be spending their 1st Thanksgiving
away from home, family and friends.
Today military stationed in countries overseas will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
It is because of their devotion to duty, honor and country
that we will be able to celebrate our Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Senior U.S. officers serve their troops an elaborate Thanksgiving Dinner at Camp Doha in Kuwait on November 22, 2001.
U.S. soldiers serving in Kuwait, including some who had just arrived from the United States,
later headed to the Kuwaiti desert
for a military exercise close to the border with former occupier Iraq.

Ragtime, thank you so much for providing our troops such good fare each day. You do know how to bake pies quickly. Thank you! I find myself looking forward to dessert. Bad me!

Thanks, Dubya, for the progress report. It will be interesting how he managed to cut his foot that bad at 11PM. LOL! Maybe because he's a kid. Happy Thanksgiving with your family "today".

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! What is it they say about best-laid plans? LOL! I fully intended to be here a LOT earlier tonight but things just didn't work out that way. sniff!
I'm thankful every day, not just today, for our service men and women, our veterans, and our allies. Without their efforts we would not enjoy the Freedoms that we were guaranteed so many years ago.
I'm also thankful to have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people here at the Canteen and become friends with several.
Before I go to bed, I've put together a little Thanksgiving spread for y'all and the troops. All diets are called off for today!! Eat up!
Once again, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TROOPS AND CANTEENERS!!! I wish you all a wonderful and safe day. I'll try to sneak away from the crowd for a few minutes later today. I miss y'all!

Troop, veterans, families, and allies. Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!
Every year I set aside a few minutes of this holiday to sit alone and think of the many things for which I should be thankful. Today, I thought of you.
Time for bed. God Bless all our troops, their families, our veterans and our Canadian and Israeli allies. We pray for your safe and soon return. Thank you for doing the jobs you do to keep this UNITED STATES OF AMERICA safe. We love all of you.
