Civil Rights Leader Coretta Scott King denounced the Bush Administration Foreign Policy as she accepted an award for her work in the gay community, saying homeland security should focus on domestic problems ranging from hate crimes to homelessness.
'A war with Iraq will increase anti-American sentiment, create more terrorists and drain as much as 200 Billion taxpayer dollars, which should be used for human development here in America,' the widow of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said.
'It seems to me that true homeland security ought to be more about providing health care for every citizen, and less about shuffling bueraucratic agencies and undermining our civil liberties.'
King, 75, was honored Friday night with a Circles of Hope Award from the Metropolitan Community Foundation, a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender organization.

Hey, Ms. King, what good is saving the money and not going to war if you don't have a country anymore?!
She said more resources must be spent to find a cure for HIV, and hate crime laws must be strengthened to enclude sexual orientation.
'We need more funding for diversity education so young people are inoculated against the toxic viruses of racism, sexism and homophobia before they enter the work force.' Mrs. King said in a shining bronze suit.
I prefer this headline ;-)
Dontcha just love the way champagne liberals accept award and accolades for their "contributions" to community or humanity, while trashing the only country standing between them and an Islamic machete.
We've already spent trillions of dollars on the war on poverty (which is human development). Didn't solve anything.
It's interesting to see how the left keeps ballooning the cost of this "war". We shouldn't have spent all of that money on WWII aka The Cold War either (the left never did like seeing to collapse of the Soviet Union, communism failed???).
Let's start with all of the black vs white hate crimes, which outnumber white vs black by about 100-1. Then we can focus on all of the blacks who hate their own race and prey on them.
President Bush was the picture of a gentleman when the Ms. King was at the White House, and how is he repaid? With a vitriolic attack.
Somehow, the liberals never learn.
Check out Jeanette Rankin, the pacifist GOP congresswoman who said "You can no more win a war than win an earthquake." It is true that her views weren't exactly popular outside her Montana district. Sadly, they are now mainstream in Cambridge, Madison and Berkeley, although I can't believe Montanans would fall for them again.

Great idea, Coretta. |
Next time foreign terrorists hijack aircraft and fly them into buildings on American soil and kill over 3,000 innocent working Americans (who are also taxpayers, unwittingly or unwillingly subsidizing your socialist Ponzie scheme), those who are lucky enough to survive can wait up to six months for that same swell "free" health care. You know, just like they have in Cuba.
And by the way, Coretta...just what do you do for income these days???? And can we see your tax returns????
Makes her look very small, doesn't it?
Now we just need a few letters to the editor to point this out.

Good God! I didn't know we undeveloped humans right here in our own country. Did evolution stop in some part of the U.S.? Perhaps any anthropoligists out there could enlighten us.
Any action to protect ourselves will increase anti-American sentiment. Terrorists are being created as fast as camels can breed. And the $200 billion -- besides being some arbitrary number she pulled out of her ... handbag, is money well spent. In fact, since most of it will go to American interests anyway, it could prove a tonic to the economy.
'It seems to me that true homeland security ought to be more about providing health care for every citizen, and less about shuffling bueraucratic agencies and undermining our civil liberties.'
It seems to me that national defense should be about defending the nation. One doesn't do that by instituting socialistic policies like government healthy care. One does that by opening a case of Keester Kooler on one's enemies.
King, 75, was honored Friday night with a Circles of Hope Award from the Metropolitan Community Foundation, a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender organization.
King, widow of murdered civil rights leader Martin Luther King, embarrassed herself and her cause by associating with sexual freaks known as the "Circle of Dopes."
Hope she becomes extinct just like the dinosaurs, sooner rather than later.
