LOL You guys crack me up. Where were you LAST night, when I couldn't sleep and was up til all hours.

The Dose tonight was awesome. The crowd in Romania was huge. Ever notice how the press covers an anti-war/Bush rally and the crowd estimate is "in the tens of thousands" and when W gets a big crowd they totally skew the numbers - downward??? They are despicable.

Mike, I've seen Woodward on several shows talking about his book, and he really is complimentary to our W about his leadership since 9/11. He said he was suprised that our W would give him the 2 1/2 hours; he thought that W wanted to get his voice into the book - W knew it was going to be written anyway, so he wanted Woodward to get it right from his mouth. He was impressed.

I, too, would not automatically believe anything Woodward says. He really went too far when he was "mind-reading" our president. Don't he WISH! I won't buy the book and have no intention of reading it.

There are terrific books, by people across the political spectrum, people who have intelligence and honesty. That's where I spend considerable money for books.

if you look really close at the agent, almost out of view on the left side of the frame, it appears to be the agent that is usually seen behind President Bush in numerous photos.

I remember your critique of Ambling into History. LOL! In fact, as I was ready through the thread, I kept thinking 'when is she going to bring up Ambling...?' You crack me up.

I am not surprised that Woodward's book is complimentary of Bush. He and some other guy (from the Washington Post) did an eight or nine part series on Bush and the administration's response to 9/11 and it was very positive. Particularly of W. I saw them both on CSPAN talking about the piece and they were praising his leadership, his tenacity, his vision, and his moral certainty.

I guess the only negative I have heard about the book, is that he paints Powell in a very positive light but gives shortshift or negative light to Cheney and Rumsfeld. I heard that Woodward spent tons of time with Powell and State department people but very little with Cheney, Rumsfeld or the DOD. In fact, I don't think he even interviewd Cheney.

Yes, he is totally magnetic. The crowd in Romania was HUGE! And they loved him! It's amazing to see the Eastern European countries and their tremendous admiration and respect for the USA. Unlike many of the Western European countries which seem interested only in bashing the US - France and Germany come to mind.

BTW, W looks soooo good in all these photos. He's such a handsome man. Laura looks beautiful too.

George W. Bush is a bigger blessing than I ever thought our country could possibly receive. His presidency has made me think that maybe there is some hope for this country after all.

I know what you mean. I am learning that when our Father answers our prayers, he does so in a big way, transcending all expectations. In a word-AWESOME!!!ANd Lawgirl-I so want a pic of that rainbow over the square. I also heard that as the rainbow appeared, and the people kept pointing upward, encouraging our President to look up....(don't ya love that? :^)....that the sun broke thru in a bright ray over the podium and then the beam moved thru the crowds. Perfect timing. And doesn't one of the large banners on the building to President Bush's actual right, left in the photos, say something about freedom can make miracles?

I imagine a lot of folks in Romania are going to remember this event for a long, long time.

I love our Father in heaven. And everyday I thank Him for this good, good leader and administrative team.

The library just got a copy of American marriage, it was just released by the publisher recently. I've skimmed it but not read it yet. I'm finishing Katherine Harris' book Center of the Storm this weekend.
American marriage has some good pictures in it. They may be out there, and I've been checking this thread for two years, but some of these pictures I've not seen before.

As a credit to our President, we have become accustomed to his Presidential conduct abroad. These visits are in a sense, somewhat routine now. Not on the order of the past perp, as he wantonly abused his powers and traveled incessantly.

I doubt that President Bush takes 1000 of his "closest friends." I know he doesn't stay 2 or 3 weeks. Laura hasn't taken the twins on any 2 week spring break trips either.

I am so thankful for President Bush and for this thread which lets us know of his activities each day.

It didn't register with me until you posted this, but x42 was always touring on his travels. We'd see him visiting the sights and local shops.
