President Bush ended his European trip today with speeches in Lithuania and Romania. Bush was greeted in both places with large crowds of people, including estimates in Romania of 50,000 plus. And in what can only be called an emotional and uplifting moment, the crowds in Romania were treated to a rainbow as the President spoke. Bush responded with 'God is smiling on us.' The First Couple arrived back in Washington late this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

It was an incredible day for the President. He was greeted with more passion in Romania than he is in some cities in the States.

I purchased the Bob Woodward book "Bush at War" today. So far it is a great book. I never laughed so hard while reading a book until I came upon the story about the CIA guy named "Black" who told President Bush that the Al-Qaeda would "have flies walking across their eyeballs" and now the Bush inner circle calls him "The-flies-on-the eyeballs guy"

Evening rintense- Look at the Secret Service agent reaching into the crowd in the last picture... They have really had their work cut out for them lately.
I was reviewing the photos that I took of President Bush in Springfield, Illinois, and I came across one exposure where every agent was looking out into the crowd at something, all looking intensely into the same direction. It was uncanny. They didn't have time to communicate amongst themselves to coordinate it, so maybe they were directed by their commo (ear pieces). Maybe, a sixth sense is developed from doing it day in and day out ?
In one of the pics. tonight, if you look really close at the agent, almost out of view on the left side of the frame, it appears to be the agent that is usually seen behind President Bush in numerous photos.
As always, very much appreciate your dedication to the task of posting, re: -W-. Thanks.

"It was an incredible day for the President. He was greeted with more passion in Romania than he is in some cities in the States"That was a huge crowd in Romania to greet the POTUS and that was in the rain, and a freezing rain at that. I was very glad I caught that this morning. Very impressive

I've often wondered if some of Dubya's interactions with the crowds are impromtu- and if the SS guys hate it. I know when he went and sat with the US athletes during the Olynpic opening ceremonies, he really pissed off the SS.

That's funny- I am alone at my office and have long ago gotten over any thoughts about someone hearing me laugh out loud, which I do quite frequently here at FR. This pic. was one of those times.

So far I'm really impressed with Woodwards book, He focuses on the internal debates among the Bush Cabinet (Colin Powell, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Tenet, Mueller and Condi) It's quite interesting.
I did learn something I didn't know before reading it. Rumsfeld and GHW Bush were not friends to say the least
