Heavenly Father,
We know that you have counted our tears and have kept them in a bottle. You understand how our hearts ache when our loved ones pass from this life into the next. We ask that You would uphold ohioWfan and her family as they mourn for this precious father. Help them to rejoice in the life You gave him and the precious imprint he made upon each one of their hearts. May his spirit live on even as you welcome him into Your heavenly kingdom. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Thanks for pinging me, kayak.
ohioW, I know your father was a wonderful person because I see the fruit of that goodness in you.
How good it is that we have an eternal hope in Christ Jesus. I pray the Lord comforts you in all the days and situations now coming before you and your family.
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

May your father rest in peace and may the Lord grant unto him Eternal rest, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the love of God and the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ bless and console your family and gently wipe every tear from your eyes.

Prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. May God give you peace, comfort, and love. Let there be memories of laughter and love mixed with unheard testamonies of his impact on other's lives to carry you through this tough time.

So sorry, ohioWfan. It's especially hard when your last parent dies. I've been there. It's the start of a whole new era.
