I gave this a week or so to see if anyone else would dive on it...Did ANYONE see where Perky Katie spouted the following gem of brilliance?
"The Loss of Minnesota's Senate Seat Was, In Part, Due To THE VOTERS"
Good Lord, the arrogance insinuating that the seat was "LOST" and BLAMING it on the people who CHOOSE the office holder!

I really wish some Manhattanite Freeper would head down to the courthouse and start photocopying the voter registration cards of every major "journalist" they can think of.

Its just like liberals to blame the American people for doing something right. They must in full meltdown mode this week. Oooh this is so enjoyable! :) :)
To: Wondervixen
Well, the other part was the candidate, since the voters apparently just didn't like the shrivel the Dems shoved at them.

New Photo- Katie holding the voters over the balcony....

I gave this a week or so to see if anyone else would dive on it... You may be the only person remaining who bothers with what perky Katie has to say.
To: Timesink
I thought the loss, as well as the winning, of every election was entirely due to the voters. Unless, of course, there's widespread vote fraud, but I doubt Katie would be complaining about that, considering who benefits from it.

Not necessarily, but occasionally, she'll still astound us with her dense exhibitions of her partiality.

The implication, of course, is that the "loss" of Wellstone's seat was mainly due to the Republican death squad that murdered him.

I'm not suprised. I think it's a liberal thing. Daschle was blaming the American people the other day for listening to Rush and then suddenly turning into brainless idiots and mass murderers.
You know that happens to me everytime I listen to Rush. I just start foaming at the mouth and acting like a mad dog. *sarcasm off*

I was listening to Rush the other day and he made me steal my neighbors Prius and sell it and give the money to the RNC.

I gave up watching the perky one several years ago but I feel now that I should have tuned in to watch her after the dims lost. I missed a great laugh opportunity.

I really wish some Manhattanite Freeper would head down to the courthouse and start photocopying the voter registration cards of every major "journalist" they can think of.First off, most of them probably live in toney suburbs in Connecticut. Second, I guarantee that, while they all vote straight Dem, each is a registered "independent"

She's just so darn affable...!

The Loss of Minnesota's Senate Seat Did I miss something?
Every state has TWO Senate seats.
Minnesota still has TWO Senate seats.

"Perky Katie Couric: Pure Instinct For Laying The Blame!
Today Show | 11/22/02 | Maryellen Davies" ..Katies thought provoking analysis and unbiased interviews MIGHT be found in
http://www.mediaresearch.org/cyberalerts/2002/cyb20021120.asp#2 when it comes out this morning..Couric is usually covered each day. Go to the most recent Cyber alerts later as much of her commentary is there.
One must also remember the networks got these "celeb hosts" at a young age and have never needed them to THINK ..only be perky and pour sticky syrup over your pancakes in the morning.
Now with FOXNews reaching more conservative viewers; but offering rebuttles as well, "news entertainment" hosts such as Couric now must use the "unknown" side of the brain which has been largely left untapped and unconsciously liberalized. They have spent more time on keeping their physical appearance in shape (Matt's haircut,Couric's haircolor, designer clothing, etc.) and not their intellectual skills..nor have the writers and others behind the scenes of such shows.
One might even feel sorry and embarrassed for them..they are fighting for the future of their "mega-million dollar" salaries and can only blame "the viewers" for their downhill spiral into uncertainty ;for if top execs get canned for poor ratings, it won't be long before that"old gang of mine" is nevermore.
