The Jews are Their Own Worst Enemy
Jewish World Review ^ | Nov. 21, 2002 | Jackie Mason & Raoul Feder

When the horror of the 9-11 attack happened in America, the US immediately attacked Afghanistan with all the might and the power that we could possibly find. There were no Jews in America who proudly called themselves "leftist" on the subject. IF you heard one Hollywood drenched extremist liberal who protested America's super bombs over Afghanistan he was immediately drowned out as a maniac, a spy or a traitor.

Why is it that when Israel suffers the loss of hundreds of innocent lives on a daily basis Jews all over the world suddenly become divided between "left" and "right"?

What is the sickness that these leftists Jews suffer from? What kind of mental paralysis or perversion creates such a warped behavior? The same qualities that have made the Jews historically the greatest humanitarians have ironically made the Jews also the world's easiest victims. They feel so uncomfortable about the thought of hurting anybody that even if a suicide bomber could be hurt while killing a hundred Jews there are thousands of Jewish "leftist" who are convinced that it is our own fault.

Data are always better than opinions--especially wrong opinions.

Are young Jews moving toward the GOP?

A Pennsylvania exit poll during this election suggests they may be

by Elliott Abrams
Beliefnet.com 12/1/2000

American Jews voted Democratic this year, as we have every four years since the New Deal. This year's total appears to be about 80/20 Gore over Bush, a strong showing for the Gore/Lieberman ticket.

There are precedents for this kind of landslide: Jews voted 82% for Kennedy in 1960, 81% for Humphrey in 1968, and 78% for Clinton in 1992 and 1996. Republican candidates did better a few times: Ford got 27% of the Jewish vote in 1976, Nixon got 35% against McGovern in 1972, and the high point was Reagan's 39% against Carter in 1980.

Jews vote for Republican candidates sometimes in state and local races, but Republicans might as well give up trying to get Jews to vote for the GOP presidential ticket. At least, that's the way it seemed until the Jewish newspaper in Philadelphia, The Jewish Exponent, commissioned an exit poll. (The exit poll had a margin of error of 4.9%.) Overall, the exit poll found that Jews in Greater Philadelphia voted for Gore/Lieberman over Bush/Cheney 77.6% to 18.6% (with just 3.8% voting for Ralph Nader). This is consistent with national totals.

But there was big news: young Jews voted for Bush! The exit poll found that the older the Jewish voters were, the more Democratic they were. An amazing 95% of Jews over age 65 voted Democratic. Of Jews who were 30-49 years of age, 82.4% voted for Gore. But Jews under age 30 voted for Bush/Cheney, 59.3% to Gore's 40.7%.

If these figures are right, and there is no reason to doubt them, that's an amazing generational break. First-time and second-time Jewish voters—in colleges and universities, starting their careers, perhaps starting families—apparently do not have their elders' loyalty to the Democratic Party. Why not? One can only speculate. Perhaps they do not share previous generations' romantic attachment to the Party of FDR, Truman, and JFK. Perhaps they were attracted to Bush's economic policies. Perhaps they just liked Bush, or disliked Gore, more than their parents or grandparents... (snip)

This article beong up top, in its appropriate place, instead of down here.

Somehow if we were compassionate enough we would find a way to solve the problem without making a murderer suffer just because his only crime is killing Jewish people. This historically profound Jewish "guilt trip" has turned the most intellectual Jews into idiots. If the violence committed against the Israelis was happening to any other people, is it conceivable that the same leftist Jews would be justifying it?

Hypothetically, if Canada sent suicide bombers into America wantonly killing people, would Jewish University professors brains calcify enough to justify it? Somehow only when Jews are involved, the "guilt trip" creates a vacuum in the brain in which no form of reason could exist. They'll create any fantasy to blame Israel. "It's our own fault, you can't occupy another country for so long without suffering the consequences" is the most sickening of the "leftist" perversions of reality. This proves that the same Jews who read enough to hold PhDs in ancient history are somehow incapable of ever reading a newspaper.

The problem is not that they don't know the truth. The Jewish problem is that they don't want to hear or see the truth. Because if they didn't suffer from an uncontrollable need to blame the Jews they would find it impossible to ignore what every breathing person knows, that Barak offered the Palestinians 98% of the land they demanded and that the pleasure of having their own home meant nothing to them compared to the thrill of killing our people.

This same kind of Jewish guilt has even paralyzed the minds of the Israelis. Otherwise why did it take so long for successive governments of Israel to see through the fraudulent charade of Yasser Arafat?

Through all the years that he was a partner in crime we blindly chose to see him as a partner for peace. How many times did Israeli Prime ministers travel the world for peace conferences with Arafat while he was masterminding the murder of our own people in Israel?

Why did the President of the United States of America, George Bush, stop talking to Arafat while the heads of our country still wonder and waiver and flounder about his usefulness to the peace process?

Why did Arik Sharon suffer the rejection of the Israelis for so many years while being vilified as a "hard liner" or even a "war monger"?

And why are there so many Israelis who even now respect the anti-Semitic attacks of the Europeans that Sharon is undermining the "peace process" by viciously "going too far"?

The answer is that the real "war mongers" are the so-called "peaceniks".

The best way to needlessly lose Jewish lives is to be so blinded by Jewish guilt that you can't see a murderer for what he is. He came to kill, and he doesn't deserve conversation, he deserves elimination!

What does that mean? Exclusively "Chosen" by whom, and for what?

That's the most rational explanation so far. {ggg}.

That's pretty much the fundamental question isn't it.

In its most basic form, it means that the Hebrews were Chosen by God to receive His word. I think most Christians and Muslims at least would accept that much.

Beyond that these words have been used as a type of facism on the part of Zionists.

It could also be interpreted as chosen by God to survive history, but also to suffer through it.

I am not a theologian. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Thank You for that explanation.  It generally parallels my understanding.  The problem comes when the very broad word Hebrews is narrowed down to mean only Jews.  There were no Jews at the time these people were "chosen", only Hebrews.  There were not even any Israelites. The words Hebrew, Israelite and Jew do not mean the same thing, but much of lazy contemporary theology fails to make the critical distinctions.

For a simple delineation of these differences, please click HERE.

>Beyond that these words have been used as a type of facism on the part of Zionists.

Whenever language is misused as a weapon, bad decisions can be made.  That is what makes the topic an important contemporary political one.

>It could also be interpreted as chosen by God to survive history, but also to suffer through it.

That is a unique interpretation in my experience, but an interesting one.

After reading your response, I checked out your profile. I am glad I did not do so before I responded to your question.

First, as a newbie, let me express my appreciation to have the chance to speak with an FR elder.

Second, I stand in awe at your mastery of html. I'm still working on it.

Obviously the issue at hand is one that is of great historical interest to you. As a fellow lover of history, the information you presented is one of those unique instances where key historical elements on which most scholars agree, might have significant impact on the way people see the world, but which have been conveniently ignored or forgotten because their effect is contrary to contemporary political necessities.

The most complicated part of this particular case is the God question. In a purely historical sense we can analyze what occurred several thousand years ago and surmize how one event led to another to bring us to where we are today, even factoring in the religion that is so much a part of the Middle East.

If, however, one believes that God Himself actually shaped this history, that requires a much different perspective and one that we cannot expect to fully comprehend.

My beliefs are fairly simple. If there is a God he is timeless (non-temporal) and thus His original covenant was not broken as a result the New Covenant. If the Jews (as opposed to the Hebrews) are His "Chosen People", He has never abandoned them, and the major events in their history are a result of God's interference. The meanings of these historical events will only become after a very long period of time in human terms (it has only been 50 years since the Holocaust - Christianity didn't really take off until about 300-400 years after Jesus).

These are just some thoughts of mine on the subject. I would be pleased to hear more from your side. :0)

Thanks for your comment, but after hacking it the hard way for a long time I finally gave in and now do it the easy way. I use COMPOSER, the HTML editor which comes free with Netscape 4.x, still my preferred browser and email client. But the version of COMPOSER which comes free with Netscape 7 is far far superior but also easy to use. It is the one I use when there is complicated copying, cutting and pasting, etc. Strongly recommended.

Microsoft Explorer does not have an easy to use HTML editor, but Microsoft FrontPage works fine. It is not free, but that's what I use when the going gets REALLY tough.

I'm sure some REAL computer experts here could give you better advice than that, but it works for me. (P.S. I'm out of time, but will respond to the rest of your post later.)

Please let me refer you again to the DEFINITIONS in order to keep the terms straight. I believe a good part of the problems we are having today throughout global society is caused by not understanding this simple history and the very basic definitions.

When you sort out Gods promises to Abraham, Moses and others, they mostly apply to the Israelites. ALL of the Israelites, not just the tiny minority who a thousand years later became known was Jews.

It is todays Southern Kingdom Jews with a population of only 12(?) Million who could almost be called "The Lost Tribes of Israel" when compared to their Northern Kingdom Celtic cousins with a population of nearly 1 Billion. (No I'm not serious about any name switch, but it does make the point.)
