The Krugman quote is wonderful and will be repeated down the years, not for what it says but for what it doesn't say. This ultra-left winger talks about Fox and talk radio letting out the message of normal Americans. Implicit in that position is the fact that traditional liberal media, the only game in town until recently, DIDN'T let this message out, censored it. Krugman confirms what most of us have known since before Georgie Jessel compared the NYT to Pravda, the old time media has had a pinko anti-normal American bias for years. Alas, as these papers go out of business, the resources will go to other business activities that will make greater profits. The workers, i.e., the presstitutes will be able to find work at Salon or other commie-pinko outfits or, more likely, turn their coats and work for the American team.

I'm impressed with your site.

The arrogant, liberal news media will not acknowledge this "message" sent by the tidal wave of Republican victories on November 5, 2002. This was evident the next day at the daily White House press briefing, where the livid press corps was seething with rage after the previous night's butt-kicking. Further evidence is Bill Moyer's commentary on PBS this past week. They will never get the message! But who care's? The American people possess a quality that most in the mainstream news media truly lack: COMMON SENSE!

The message to the media is that it's favoritism to Liberals and every other enemy of the United States, has made it a totally untrustworthy source of information for anyone. Everyone less liberal than the media whores, have found more reliable sources for information.
Message="Liberal media, good for laughs and nothing more-credibility zero."

"Our patience has worn thin!" Thin, thin you say? I gave up on'em years ago. I'm encouraged to see that their ratings are beginning to show my/our disgust! Keep up the good work CCRM!

Outstanding essay, Peacerose!
You speak eloquently for all of us who are sickened by the leftist bias in the media.
Kudos!

Actually, I find this "media bias" hand-wringing kinda boring and pointless. No media outlet is completely "objective" in the strictest sense. Each step in the editorial process from deciding which story to tell to deciding how to tell it (and who) reflects an organization's worldview. Instead of bitching and moaning about it, we should open (or close) our wallets to whichever oultet we like and let the marketplace sort it out.

Good, solid, simple, clear statement. Anyone who can understand basic English and basic logic will understand what you wrote. Of course, those two criteria disqualify a good part of the lamestream media, included everyone at the New York Times except the janitorial staff. Thanls for the hard work and the good fight. And congratulations for holding yourself in check and not lambasting the SOBs with language that would make a sailor blush. I know you thought about it. I know they deserve it. Wise choice, though, not to say it that way.

Very nice analysis.
Talk radio and Fox News let the hard right get its message out to its supporters...
That quote jumped out at me as well.
It reveals rather more than the writer intended...
