Kick off Democratic Underground.

I had made a whole 14 post on the site when I was kicked off. The first site I have ever been kicked off in 5 years of internet surfing. Why was I kicked off because they are good little book burning fascist on the site I point out that drilling in ANWR is not going to hurt the animals. That the Environmental crowd was using the same scare tactic and lies they use 20 years ago on the Alaskan pipeline and now it has been proven that the caribou herd has increase 25%. You see if you want to be a Democrat you have to censor the truth, you have to act like Gobbel propaganda minister and stop anyone from exposing the falsehoods of the claim against your party.

After being on the site for only 1 month this is what is typical of all liberal Democrats on the site.

1. The best book burning neo-nazi on the planet. Don't believe me post over there and say you believe in the Constitution that you have a right to carry a gun and back it with facts you well be banned from posting and the thread well be delete.

2. Swear a lot in your post and you well be welcome because swearing is a weak mind trying to express itself. The Democrats want easy targets weak mind are a sure vote.

3. Don't ever say you don't want gays around your children OMG they well have fits because being like Hitler they know they have to brainwash your children into accepting their agenda at an early age. If you want your children to grow up as normal healthy heterosexual you well be treated with best fascist response.

4. Leave your research at the door when you go there because just like the NAZI party the Democrat only accept those who carry the party line and ban anyone that speak the truth.

5. Whatever you do never ever think that it is a free forum with exchanges of ideas protect under the first amendment.

This is why the Democrats lost the election because the core left wing radicals are so far removed from real life and so stuck on ramming down American throats their agenda. The Nazi party would be proud. I use to be a swing voter but after this I well never EVER VOTE FOR ANY DEMOCRATS AGAIN.

I tried to post there once when FR was down. I used small simple words so no one would think I was a conservative. My first post consisted of mostly two and three letter words, but they caught me.

My wife is a research chemist in the private sector. She works side by side with brilliant scientific heads. They use good sound data to make a commital on any topic. Without good science(and I mean good) to make a claim, they will claim nothing.

Now those same quantitative/qualitative, fine tooth combing scientists will leap on the democrat line in a second. Supporting politicians who make outrageous claims, tell of dogfood eating grannies, global warming, more money for schools, hate crime legislation, and so on.....

I have never understood them regarding social issues. You would think that a guy who spends fifteen years arguing the molecular weight claim of a molecule against a competetive scientist using pure science and not conjecture, would approach politics the same way, but they do not.

No suprise there. I'm not exactly sure why someone decides to become a liberal. My threory is that most people start out as liberals, and the realities of the world lead intelligent liberals to embrace conservativism as they grow wiser. Utopia has great appeal to the naive. I became a conservative when I realized that liberals have some ideas that I'd love to agree with (I don't want any more animals to become extinct, I wish everyone had a nice house and enough to eat), but they don't have a plan for implementing them. Other than "tax the rich (ie, the most productive members of a capitalist society) back into the middle class. We've seen a lot of writing about what the Democrats should do now. Their problem is that they don't have any real answers, and they long for a world that they can't create. It is therefore very easy to stump them on the facts. They can't deal with this because the are certain of their moral justification/superiority. When you force them to think about the had realities, they are quick to pull the plug an make it stop.

Rush has the right idea when he lets them rant on his show. The average time it takes them to veer from the topic and resort to personal attacks is about 35 seconds.

They really cannot argue intellectually because all their arguments are emotional and totally devoid of anything that even remotely resembles a reasoned thought. Once they realize that they can never compete with people of reason, they inevitably resort to personal attacks, name calling, and lying.

You see, they can NEVER allow their members to think for themselves or they wouldn't have any. To them freedom means the freedom to scream out profanities and to shout down the opposition.

If this is what they do in a supposedly "free" website, imagine what this country would be like if they ran everything. People would be trying to leave for China.

While I agree with you that DU is a lousy forum filled with decrepit people, I think the first amendment probably comes closer to ensuring them the right to publish without interference from those they don't want on their site than it does to ensuring you the right to go on their forum and use their resources for purposes contrary to their agenda.

I would hate to see the first amendment mutated from asserting the right to speak freely into the right to demand a microphone (or printing press, or platform, or internet forum, or so on).

Join the club, dude! I have been banned there about a half dozen times and I am a democrat. I even accidentally got my niece in law (nightshade the poetress)banned from there when I went in one night under her password (which she kept scotch-taped to the computer monitor). I think I had her call Hillary a liar or something. Broke her heart. She is about as stupidly lefty as you can get.

Those moderators at DU are brutal and tolerate no dissension and very little discussion. I put up a thread about one of their bannings back in July, and I'll ping you to it.

Maybe if WilliamPitt (or some other DU lurker)is listening, he will have the courage to post these two threads over at DU.

We need an intelligent opposition party in this country and the dems simply ain't hacking it.

Psst. Wanna know a little secret? There are far more of us over there than there are them.
