[history]
Four fur protesters rushed the catwalk at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show taping Thursday night as Gisele Bundchen was on the stage, holding signs denouncing the supermondels support of fur.
Event security staff whisked the women off the catwalk, but not before at least one of them managed to walk the length of the it behind the 22 year old Brazillian beauty.

Like millions of others out there, one of my first jobs was working the drive-thru window at a fast food restaurant. We had regular Hindu customers who would come by ordering meatless sandwiches (ie; our regular deluxe hamburger dressings minus the burger)...It's not a bit different than Subway selling a vegi sub.
I had no problem with such requests & the Hindu customers were quite satisfied with our work filling their requests. They weren't trying to make "in-your-face" statements with their requests like PETA does in pressuring the company into carrying a product that 1% of the population OR LESS wants.

LOL! Yep. In addition the PETA gals will get a tofurkey in their jail cells.

They heard "Exposed Beavers" and were afraid the poor things would catch a chill.

WOW! There's actually an anti-PETA thread running on DUh this morning! Look what "Elvis_Christ" has to say:
"Possibly he means they're blody idiots who waste far too much energy that could be better spent doing something like, oh, contributing money to and leading campaigns for alternative energy sources, or organising against military action in Iraq, or pick an actually MEANINGFUL political issue...PETA are obnoxious, self-righteous morons who could be doing things which are far more important, but choose to waste their time on things which are (relatively) meaningless, when there are FAR more pressing issues in the world. The lot of 'em can go bugger themselves, as far as I'm concerned."

Ah, once again, the boys are alive and well. Bless you little .......!
Think I'll throw my 100 year old seal coat on and take a trip to my local PETA center. Then I'll ask them how many coats they have and how many of the coats are 100 years old and still like new (except for the replaced lining) which covers it's original source..Cape of Good Hope. It's pretty awesome and softer than silk.
God didn't put anything on earth just to look at. That's what the stars, the moon and the sun are for.

I wonder if PETA has a problem with Native Americans as well..

What you described is done all the time by fast foods, delis and other places. Most of their vegie customers like what they get and the fast food places are happy to serve these meatless whoppers.

Well, the indians would nail them to the wall since many of them still retain their fishing and hunting rights.
A friend of mine went to Alaska. The natives live in small houses. There's a brand new Bronco and snow-sled in every driveway AND, in one case, a PILE of checks from a utility company was lying on a table in their house..no hurry to cash them!!
They hunt and fish and do no other work. They were smoking salmon to put into winter storage to feed their huskies...at a rate of 500 lbs per dog or 20 lbs of salmon per week. He bought a pair of gloves for his wife which were made from (I forgot which animal). Anyways, no matter what they did, they couldn't get rid of an obnoxious smell. A lesson learned.
As another sideline, ONLY Native Americans in New York are allowed to have eagle feathers.
