Well, I'd like to see an end to the handgun killings in my family, but Dad sez he just can't see giving up the crack dealership until he has enough for retirement. Then, you know, all of us siblings have big plans for how the smuggling, coke and prostitution rackets ought to be run. Honestly, it gets harder every day to make a go of things without an uncle or brother-in-law trying to blow your brains out every day. I for one am damn glad progressive politics are trying to do something for me - an average American.

Just to keep things in perspective. The Bureau of Justice in the U.S. Justice Department annually publishes a book of data on all crime. There are more categories than I thought existed, i.e., income level, education, race, gender, etc.

In the category of WEAPON RELATED VIOLENT CRIME, the most current statistics (FY2000) show the following:

Not sure if a weapon uses = 7%
Total NON_FIREARM = 17.5%
TOTAL FIREARM = 7.5%
NO WEAPON USED = 68%

Where is the outcry from the pimps of the election industry and their minions in the anti-gun movement for the 68% category?

I tell you it is just awful. Those darned handguns keep getting into the house and killing my loved ones. I am fed up.

I have done everything in my power to keep them out. I keep the doors locked and have sealed every hole large enough for a handgun to sneak in. I sometimes think they can do just like mice and dislocate their shoulder blades so they can slip through any hole.

Just last week we had three, maybe four loved ones killed by those pesky handguns. Enough is Enough.

Damn! When I heard "Handgun Free America" I almost wet my pants with glee. Imagine my disappointment when I found out they did not really intend to give away free handguns!

Amazing. No one I know has ever lost a relative to a handgun. (Knock on wood). I would hope that my relatives will eventually be able to legally carry a handgun so they do not become a victim of a criminal with whatever weapon they chose. But that is only a dream because I live in Maryland.
