Cedar Crest man jailed for attacks on 'shape shifters'

Police say a man killed and burned two animals and kidnapped and assaulted a woman because he thought they were "shape shifters."
Christopher Campbell, 42, is charged with extreme animal cruelty resulting in death, false imprisonment and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies initially tried to contact Campbell after a woman reported she had been smoking crack cocaine with Campbell and he "freaked out," locking her in a laundry room and firing a weapon through a window at her on October 30.
The woman told authorities she escaped through a window and called for help from a neighbor's house. Deputies could not locate Campbell on October 30.
On November 6, Campbell's parents contacted sheriff's deputies and requested a welfare check on him because he had mental and drug problems.
At Campbell's Cedar Crest home, deputies found the front and back porches were covered with honey and jam and the doorknobs were covered in butter, found the internal organs and fur of a small animal in the garage, and discovered the burnt remains of two domestic cats.
Deputies found Campbell naked in a closet in his home.
When questioned about the cats, Campbell said he could tell they were "shape shifters" and not cats by the shape of their eyes. He said he was in fear for his life and he had to destroy them.
When questioned about the woman who claimed to have been kidnapped, Campbell said a "shape shifter" had taken over her body, so he shut her in a laundry room and broke out a window to keep an eye on her. He said he later sprayed insecticide at the woman so she would leave through the window.
Campbell is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond. In addition to the surety, further conditions of any pretrial release include abstaining from illegal drugs, taking prescribed drugs in full and on time, and keeping all doctor and psychologist appointments.

Now I'm slowly becomming the shape of an A.
What a wonderful "human" being this "man" is.
It should have read:
Hold Muh Crack Cocaine While I Kill These Cats Alert!
Yeah, he definitely looks like a shady character.
It's Campbell who will change shape with that concoction on the front and back porches. He'll have some big shapes in the form of real bears coming for a visit.
