"I'll just say,its a good thing we don't use "indices of consciousness" as a measure of whether or not to let adults live."
Under that standard there are some mornings when I would probably be a candidate for elimination.

``Roe v. Wade hangs by a single vote,'' said Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women. ``Tipping the balance of the Supreme Court with one more extremist justice would ensure the loss of abortion rights for generations.'' That's B.S. Overturning Roe v. Wade will just kick it down to each individual state to decide.
BTW, if abortion is a supposed to be "a decision between a woman and her doctor," as these women keep endlessly harping, then taxpayers shouldn't be funding this or any other so-called 'private choice'. You don't see the government paying for people to smoke, do you?
Planned Parenthood and NOW are just alarmed that the gravy train is stopping and they're going to be losing big bucks.

Now I know why Bork was so hated by the Democrats. In their eyes it must be a capital offense to write such lucid, easily understood language. How dare someone who has been to law school write this way? You buy him books, send him to school and what does he do? Hump the teacher.

Heck! When I was pregnant just 16 weeks with my twins, you could see them 'swimming' around and moving like two little astronauts. I don't believe in abortion (at all- no trimester - zip-zero-nada), but I also realize that I cannot dictate to others what they should do or not do with their lives. What I do resent, is the fact that MY tax dollars go to pay for abortions. NO ONE is giving me a choice there. No one asked me if I agreed to fund baby killing. Those who choose to abort their children, may do so freely, but I don't want to be an accomplice to this by having my hard earned money go toward it. In the end, we all face our Creator, and it is He to whom we will have to answer.

God doesn't choose to send new humans into the world, people do. Nonsense. People have sex. Sometimes it results in conception, sometimes not. A baby can be planned and wanted, but there is no guarantee of conception, no matter how hard the parents try.
Witness so many people these days trying to become parents and battling infertility problems. They spend money on doctors and IVF but still fail to conceive for all those efforts. Even the doctors tell them there is no guarantee.
The irony of it is, many are pro-abortion, and they still don't get the connection that maybe God is trying to tell them something.
My point is that only God knows the exact moment that conception occurs. The parents generally don't. At that point, it is completely out of their control.
So it stands to reason that we are here by the will of God, whether we choose to believe it or not.

I know this may sound radical to some, but it is my deepest conviction and it's this - A nation that slaughters it's unborn does not deserve prosperity or economic viability.

43% of abortions are black. Its all part of the Sanger master race plan.

A nation that slaughters it's unborn does not deserve prosperity or economic viability. You are not amiss. There will be spiritual consequences.

Did you listen to Rush today? He said, "liberalism is the Democrat's religion and Abortion is their sacrament" or something to that effect. He nailed it.

The only thing that we might get now is a ban on partial birth abortions, but the fact of the matter is, it ain't gonna change until the peoples minds are changed. Hitting them upside the head with laws is not gonna change anybodies minds, and shooting abortion doctors just makes it worse. In '73 the SCOTUS overthrew the laws of 50 supposedly sovereign states concerning abortion. At that time only 3 states allowed abortions under very limited, defined circumstances, like rape, medical emergency and the like.
The fact of the matter is, the minds of the people had nothing to do with the legalization of baby shredding and the minds of the people has little to do with whether the SCOTUS reverses itself. It ain't up for a vote in this system.

Do you believe you can dictate to others that they will not drink and drive?
I damn well intend to dictate to others that they cannot shred their preborn offspring.

Abortion Abolitionist Bump!!
To: luckymom
Absolutely true...the only way it would work is to look at the earliest in pregnancy a child has been born and survived, then add in a safety margin. As science changes, the deadline would need to be moved back...

The Republicans can defund Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry immediately -- they will lose 1/3 of their income immediately. Then watch them close down.
Imagine having a business plan that thrives on the number of sexually active unmarried young people they can infect with their perverted ideas of sterile and promiscuous sexuality and the sure statistical outcome of millions of - STD's -- and uwanted pregnancies that they get paid to "treat".

Bump and your words bear repeating:
It has been obvious to me that preserving Roe v. Wade has been the central operating principle of the Democratic Party since the mid-1980's.
Preserving Roe v. Wade at any cost is what has turned the party into a party of liars and thugs.
The anti-Bork campaign, the Clarence Thomas hearings, the rabid defense of Clinton, the party line vote against Charles Pickering - all of the ugliest episodes in the history of the modern Democratic Party can be traced back to Roe v. Wade.
The Dems should change their name to the National Abortion Rights Party. Then maybe aging Catholics like my parents (who vote 100% Democrat) would finally get it.
"A Nation [my words: or a Political party] that kills its children is a party without hope." Pope John Paul II
Imagine: A politician will look into a TV camera and say:
I will kill an American child to get your vote.

Anyone who cannot defend by science and logic when life begins should at least DO NO HARM.
NONE DARE RISK MURDER.
