The scumbag Larry King, when interviewing Jeb Bush, just had to ask about his daughter with the drug problems. What an ass.
Jeb should have said "Well Larry, you of all people should know how hard it is to kick a drug problem."

Cameron said that they were expecting Strickland to win, but both the late exit polls and the early returns so far have both said Allard comfortably.

Here in Illinois I feel like I'm in about the only state with nothing to cheer for.. Well, maybe losing the govornership will be a stimulus to wake up the party here...

That is, of course, if Chafee or McCain doesn't switch parties. Did you see McCain commenting on the election tonight on NBC? McCain ain't switchin'.

Morella loses. First marginal disappointment of the night. PA-6 is also very shakey (a possible Dem upset), but Gekas appears to probably pulling it out.

"LA requires a 50% +1 vote. (And don't ever ask why they call their counties parishes either ...) "Actually it's fairly simple.
The 17th(?) ammendment just called for direct election of senators by the people. Within that broad stricture, the procedures are left up to the state.
The U.S. bought LA from France (as part of the "LA Purchase"). French law was established prior to the purchase (Napoleonic Code?) They kept what they had rather than change their system.

Anyone see Dan Rather closing the CBS coverage before the break for local news?
"It looks like tonight may see the president's party in control of the White House, the House, the Senate..." and then, in a sinister tone "... and the Supreme Court!"
Good for a nice laugh.
