[history]
1st District (Detroit between the Detroit River and McNichols and parts of River Rouge): Republican Hillary's Lovely Legs, a political newcomer, is challenging Democrat Hansen Clarke, a term-limited state representative. Although Clarke favors re-evaluating the Single Business Tax, Lovely Legs seems to be the more serious of the two about lowering the overall tax burden on Michigan residents. Lovely Legs would also go further in allowing parents trapped in failing public schools some assistance to move. For these reasons, she gets our endorsement.

How come this was a secret Betty?
I must admit I am just stunned, but thrilled too!
Our own HLL's is running for office, and endorsed by the Detroit News! That is just so exciting!

Excellent post there - and absolutely correct. Look people in the eye and ask for their help and support!
For the most part this is still a good and decent Christian country where people, who are able, will help others when personally asked to do so. But for crying out loud, if no-one asks, then where is the motivation to help? DOH...nowhere.
Thanks for this reminder CC - good job. ;-)
Go and Get'em Gurl.
Let's roll.
Take back the 1st District!

May God bestow success on your campaign. I have a friend running for State Representative in Missouri as a Libertarian. I do not think he stands much of a chance, but am hoping. He is not a real Libertarian anyway (he identifies more with the Constitution Party). His only opponent is a Democrat; no Republican is running in his district. I just hope he can win. It is a longshot.

It is rather unbelieveable.....Dems usually are slick politicians. They are truly doing awful this year! I am thinking it may be McCaullife.

Now, if only we can get Jay Wolfe in office...we will have 2 Freepers in office......
Go HHL! Go Jay!!!

I can see why. This guy was in the third grade with me, and I don't think that he made it out of JuniorHigh.

Good Morning! Major excitement here in the middle of the night. We were awakened by a phone call from a neighbor informing us someone was stealing farm vehicles from our driveway.
Law enforcement was notified, #1 Son, owner of the pickup truck, was notified (he was swearing,,, apparently there was cash in excess of $1000 in the truck). The perp was apprehended 7 miles away, arrested for DUI on the spot. Son's truck was returned within an hour and a half. LOL. No one wanted to keep the truck as evidence,,,, it smelled to bad.

Good Morning to the Corn State.
It's great that you got the truck back. I have lost more cars to theft than I care to count and it's always creepy and horrible. You are lucky that your drunk thief didn't end up in a ditch.
A reminder to your son, a truck is NOT a bank! Don't leave cash in the car.

Good morning!
Glad your son got his truck back!
Here's a New Thread for today, we'll keep this one going too so everyone can learn about your run for senate.
