Today, President Bush announced a proposal to expedite Senate confirmation of his judicial nominees. Of Bush's 131 nominees, the Senate has only voted on 80. The Judiciary Committee has rejected two nominees, Charles Pickering of Mississippi and Priscilla Owen of Texas. Of course, Patrick Leahy used the Democratic buzzword of this election year by stating the President was 'politicizing' the judicial selection process to create a partisan campaign issue. In brighter news, the White House hosted a 'Radio Days' today where national radio talk shows were given access to Bush administration. Once again, the Democrats cried that the White House gave special treatment to conservative radio shows in order to promote their election year agenda... blah, bla, blah blah blah.

Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I will, knowing that the Democrats are in a hissy fit today.

How are things holding up on the West side? I keep getting updates from Chris and things sound pretty good. We're cruising to victory over here on the East side. Nethercutt is a shoe-in and I think most of our state reps are in pretty good shape.

Hi Wphile.....I'm not sure how it's going to come down here....we're in the Sarah Casada vs. Adam Smith battle and was out waving signs in traffic today (well, near lots of traffic.) I honestly don't know where she stands right now, but I've been emailing and talking her up. Also we have the Ref 51 issue, among others....I think election night will be a nail biter around here. I'm finally signed up for work at Rep hdqtrs Monday and poll watching on Tues.....(our Tacoma Repub office is VERY disorganized).....I wish I'd been more persistent with them....but, we do what we can. I wish I lived on YOUR side of the mountains!!!!

Let's hope there are lots of independents who were planning to vote dem but got so turned off by the phony theatrics last night, that they either vote GOP or don't vote at all.

I was watching the local news here and again .. it was NOT flattering to the Dems .. they showed a clip of the Clinton's clapping and laughing and then went to a clip of what Jessie Ventura said about how the Dems should be ashamed of themselves

The killer part is Philly is a Dem town .. I am just amazed they aired this ..
