Lautenberg agreed to debate? Are you sure?
To: sonrise57
So far all the other candidates are talking. Lautenburg talking now. (Funniest line so far ---- Frank Perdue look-alike from the RTL party thanks Frank for showing up). Lautenburg is a droolin dottering old fool.

He's talking now. Sounds shakey, unfortunately not many will be watching it.

Peace Party candidate talking now. Lautenburg refered to Foresster's running against the Toricelli-Lautenburg er, ah, um -- group. He's reading from a script.

The green guy is already lying. Says Dick Armey opposes the "War on Iraq". Yes, in August he had reservations, but is now fully supportive of President Bush.
I can't believe the Louse stumbled over his words in his opening remarks...this could be a rout for Forrester.

I think I saw Forrester & Lautenberg in the crowd.
It's a lousy format. I wanted one-on-one for at least 90 minutes.

While not many will watch the debate the spin will be reported. The louse sounds like he is senile.
Hoping for a few Senior moments.

Hoping for a few Senior moments. nobody will notice the Green Fool and the Socialist idiot will have already turned most people away. This is a Flippin' waste of time.
Lautenberg is now lying his ass off about Social Security...what a piece of excrement.

I just flipped over to C-SPAN for a few seconds and heard the socialist candidate for Senate say he wants to cut the defense budget by 50% and establish a minimum living wage and a
maximum wage of 10x the minimum.
I don't want to step on any NJ Freeper toes, but your debate looks like a freak show.

Yes it is a circus. Yes, there are a bunch of loony candidates (the socialist guy for one) on the same stage. The question should not be whether this should be the format. The question is whether their should have been one at all.
If your answer is yes, this is your option. If the answer is no... well...
Hopefully the second part will be more enlightening. Most people won't watch this. Most New Jerseyans don't even know this is on. The way most people will learn about this debate is the reporting afterward. And the reporters (hopefully) haven't turned away.

I think Forrester is doing very well-he seems poised, knowledgeable, quick on his feet, gentlemanly.Talked about cutting taxes a lot. The rest of the field looks like they belong in the waiting room of a plastic surgeon( except the woman). Lautenberg starts every sentence with "Yes and then ah,ah,ah". After that he doesn't answer the question-he launches into an attack on Forrester-every single time.Forrester has to take the beginning of his time, correcting Lautenberg's lies.He has obviously been programmed and is just reciting the script McAuliffe and clinton wrote for him. Lautenberg looks and acts his age,a cranky and mean old man. Forrester kind of reminds me of the new Rush. Now Lautenberg and Forrester may go it alone.

There's a bunch of sheeple up here in the Northeast who would wholeheartedly agree with the Greenie and the Socialist ((shudder)). Hopefully, they're not registered to vote.
All of the candidates except for Forrester and the Conservative Party guy were downright frightening, IMHO. Well... some of the things the Libertarian said were OK I guess.

At least the socialist candidate is honest about his beliefs, unlike Lautenberg

The camera briefly panned to Lautenberg, now that it is just the two of them and he was rifling through papers-like he was looking for something-he looks lost. But of course the camera quickly panned away. Looks like the wheels are coming off the Laut-he is using words that don't make any sense-half finished sentences and thoughts, lots more ahs, ahs, continues to throw out nasty barbs at Forrester, speaking in non sequiters.Forrester gets in a few good shots-after the Laut gives his rambling answer-Forrester says, " As I understood the question" -slyly implying that the Laut didn't understand the question. In response to why he voted against the Gulf War-he rants about not being able to get out, after we got in and anyway, we didn't get Saddam-?Huh?
To: sonrise57
Mondale better be watching....lautenberg is a dottering old fool, no offense, and if this debate doesn't finish him, I'll be amazed
To: sonrise57
Now it's Forrester and Lausenberg going mano-a-mano and it's getting good.
