OK, now for the male call...uh...I mean mail call! Dang!

Jacob USNavy: sweetie, please don't be sad. We are here for you - to make you laugh, to make you cry, to give you a sense of home and maybe to some degree a sense of peace. We do care and we are always praying for all of you.

Tom USAF: do drop in whenever you can for you will always find welcoming arms, ready to give you big, warm hugs at the USO Canteen.

Keith USNavy: I have a dear friend who is the Navy too and they only recently got deployed somewhere out there. I just received a couple of emails from him today and he loves being in the Navy. We are all very proud of him just as we here are very proud of all of you.

Joe US Army: isn't technology great? This is such a great way of communicating - it's fast! This makes it so convenient for those of us here to send our Thanks and our prayers to all of you who have served and are still serving our country. Stay safe!

Alex US Navy: ignore all those commie peaceniks! They are not worth our time. I saw a lot of them last Saturday at the DC rally and they all looked pathetic! What was disheartening though was the fact that most of them were quite young. Maybe they all need to take up history 101 again. Just know that you have us here supporting and praying for all of you.

Smitty, USMC: just know that there a lot of us back home that are supporting our men and women in the military. You may not hear it often - what do you expect from the media that has been hijacked by the socialist, commie, liberal idiots. Thank God for computers - now we can reach out to you and say THANK YOU for all that you do!

Talkin Ted USMC: Thank you too for your service to our country - you all make us very proud. It's because of your dedication and sacrifices that those of us here who are not serving are able to enjoy our freedom. By participating in FR, USO Canteen, reaching out to you in any way possible is the least we can do for all of you.

David USMC: We can never thank you all enough for your service! I'm glad you found your way here - be rest assured that you and your brothers and sisters in arms will always be welcomed here at the USO Canteen. It's always a thrill to hear from you guys and know that in spite of the danger that you are in, you are doing OK. All of you will always have our support. God bless you.

Marty, Joe, Al, Scully USNAvy: You are all heroes as far as we are concerned. It's about time we celebrate and honor all those who have served and are currently serving in our military! Just remember, that when things get rough, we are here praying for all of you and always ready to listen to you. You don't only have our prayers and undying support but you also have our hearts!

Tom "Big Red" USMC: I'm sorry to hear about your bad news. My prayers are with you and your family. We will keep the fires burning until your safe return. Stay safe.

Carol US Army: We care - we do care A LOT. Thank you, beautiful lady for your service. I cannot begin to imagine what it is like to be separated from your family. I know that I'm speaking for all the Canteeners and other loyal Americans when I say that we appreciate all of you in the military even more when we are reminded of your bravery, courage and dedication and most especially your love for our country. God bless you!

Leatherneck Jody UCMC: it's always nice to hear when you guys and gals mention how the canteeners have made you laugh somehow, in some way. As they say "laughter is the best medicine." We are here for you and you are always welcome to join the fun!

Tim USAF: thank you for all that you do and I'm happy to hear that more and more of you are discovering FR and USO Canteen. This is your home away from home and we are your family. So, drop by whenever you can - you will always find us here...ready to welcome you home.

Snow Bunny. . .

I just read thru the emails and came upon the following:

"Thank you and God bless you all. And that Chaplain you have, he rocks. Thank you sir for being the Canteen Chaplain. Thanks for your prayers too.

David
USMC"

Well, I donk't know how to get in touch with David except through this method. So, David, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, bro, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind note regarding the chapliancy on the USO Canteen!!

Always keep in mind--that is, you and all the other readers--that you are all lifted to the Lord daily in my personal prayers. I see you out there. I care about you. I then bring you to the heavenly throne, knowing that the good Lord is more aware of every detail in your lives than you or anybody else is. Just keep the faith in His plan for your surrendered life.

Your Chap Grant

Chad, I apologize in advance for this, but I cannot tell a lie.

I don't know what our pilot looks like (aside from that ummmm...picture - good looking, I'll bet), but I HAVE seen our co-pilot (a Navy vet, btw) and he's much cuter than that. TRUST ME. To quote one of my favorite singers, "All I can say is 'Ouch!'"

We are in good hands tonight, ladies. Heheh. (I am terrible. I know. You don't have to tell me. I admit it. Chad, please don't kill me.)

Dear Keith,

Thank you so much for writing us. What an awesome way you found us. I'm so glad that one of the Freeper Veterans shared his experiences and the Canteen Business Card with your Uncle Bert. I bet your Uncle Bert is as awesome as you are. Thank you both for your service and dedication to our country. God Bless you!! May God keep you out of harm's way!!

Dear Joe

Thank you for writing the Canteen today. It is an honor to read your words. I'm still awaiting approval from Mr.Magoo to fly one of those B-17s. Until then, you can always come hang out at the hot tub or wait to see what transportation Mr.Tonkin has for all of us girlz. (I promise not to drive) God Bless you for your service to America and for your families sacrifice. May God watch over you!!

Dear Alex,

Thank you for writing us today. Wow!! You really do have a lot of Canteeners that you really like. That is absolutely terrific. You mentioned all of my favorites. I love each of the Canteeners as much as you do. It's amazing to see what you've picked up on. What an honor! Also, I wanted to thank you for your kind words regarding the Useless News Tidbits. I started it because I was all alone in the Canteen. So? Instead of taking the transportation of the day and wrecking it, I decided to do something more useful. (Barely) Anyways, it really grew out of my warped mentality when I read news articles. I'm glad you like it. I will continue it for as long as anyone will read it. God Bless you, Sir! May God protect you!!

Dear Smitty,

Thank you for writing us. (I know I've already said that a million times, but my head is fried) I wanted to let you know that I promise to give Coteblanche a big *HUG* for you. However, I've got to check out the Canteen Kitchen. So? It could take a few hours. LOL! Mr. Tonkin's Post Office is absolutely awesome. It is such a treat from this end getting messages from our troops. So? It works both ways. How awesome is that? Be safe!! God Bless you, Sir!!

Dear Talking Ted,

I've found my soulmate. I love talking and so do you. Do you think anyone could get a word in edgewise with either of us? (Not that we care, huh?) Anyways, I really enjoyed your letters. I enjoy reading the wonderful jokes and informative stuff posted on the thread. Do not feel bad that you couldn't jot everyone's name down. That's not what the Canteen cares about. We care that you feel at home. Everyone feels very appreciated and we hope that you feel appreciated. God Bless you, sir!! Thank you for enjoying the Useless News Tidbits. They are useless and don't really do much to improve your life. However, if it does take you away from what your doing for a second..then I'm happy. Stay Safe!! Semper Fi!! Oh! One more thing, Linda did the entire Cartoon Thread! She deserves all the credit. I just posted goofy things to her to amuse myself. That's it!! God Bless you!! May God keep you safe!!

Dear David,

Thank you for your service to America. Thank you for your show of appreciation for what the Canteen does. We are really honored that all of our troops love to visit with us everyday. I appreciate that you take a few minutes out of your life to come share our silliness. Wow!! That is absolutely awesome!! Thanks for your kind words to all the Canteeners. What an incredible boost! God Bless you, sir!! May God watch over you!!

Dear Marty, Joe, Al, and Scully,

Thank you gentleman for writing us at the Canteen. It's ironic that on the first mail call I ever saw..you were there. I hope to be here forever or until the Navy tells us to move elsewhere!! The poem was absolutely beautiful. (Okay, I'm repeating myself from last week..but it was) I sent the poem to my mom and she was very impressed. (My brothers could use a clue when it comes to writing words and saying them with some sensitivity) Anyways, God Bless each one of you!! Be safe!! May God watch over all of you!! Thank you for supporting us! We love supporting you!

Dear Tom "Big Red",

LMAO! Thank you for writing us today!! Please don't keep encouraging Linda to do foolish things. Although, she just won't listen to any of us. So? I guess it's up to you!! You have me rolling over here!! God Bless you, Sir! May God watch over you!!

Dear Carol,

What an honor to have you writing us! Wow! I'm sure it is absolutely difficult having to leave your family behind. I just hope you realize that there are so many of us that absolutely appreciate yours and all the troops sacrifice to America. I'm glad you like what we do in here. I hope one of the more talented Girlz will help you out. I will keep Linda and you up to date on all those "hunks" out there. God Bless you, Diva!! May God watch over you!!

Dear Leatherneck Jody,

Thank you so much for writing! It's wonderful to see that you think my Ma is dreamy. She's really awesome. I could go on and on about it, but I don't want to bore you with my lists. So? God Bless you, Sir! May God watch over you!!

Dear Tim,

Thank you for writing! What an awesome mother you have!! Kudos to her!! Thank you for telling us the importance of the business cards. I'm sure many people wonder why they are posted, but you and the rest of our troops can attest that they work. God Bless you, sir!! May God watch over you!!

God Bless Our Allies! May God Watch Over All Our Troops!!

I love your rants MOJO.

I love your words and all of your themes,
one thing I can't stand is your color schemes.

I could listen to you all day and night
but please don't ever challenge my sight

You can say anything, and even be mean
the best phont is black over green

or is it the other way around?
hard to rhyme and still be profound.

All that I am saying is not to cause you
any anguish, just change the hue

You are cool!

Snow Bunny. . .

I just read the following note:

"God bless you all and God bless the Chappy Swank, I love him already.

Your friend and family member of the Canteen cottage

Carol
US Army"

Well, Carol, dear friend, my petitions to the Lord are on your behalf this evening and always. Much appreciation for taking the time and heart to write such encouraging words.

Be assured that you are always prayed for--you and those close to you. It is the honor of the rest of us to intercede on your behalf before the heavenly throne.

Blessings to you this evening from friends here in Maine. . .

Have you previously met, or are you meeting for the first time?

It's the first time meeting him. We were introduced by a mutual friend, this guy, that I danced with several days ago.

(is FR bogged down again tonight?)

Hi, Buns. Was your weekend as busy as ours? Sheesh! Mr. Redhead got to wear his tux again for a very special occasion. He is 4th Degree KC, and was invited to participate in a special Mass yesterday morning. When we got there (tiny old church, packed to the rafters. The ushers had to use shoehorns), who showed up but the Archbishop of St. Paul/Mpls. It was a beautiful service in honor of LIFE. The colors were presented by Army husband/wife. Old Glory ALWAYS gives me goosebumps when I see her in a color guard! Afterwards, we had to hurry home and change in order to get to St. Paul for a wedding reception, then we had to be back home in time to go south to our parish church to teach the Bible study. Am I the only one in the Canteen whose days go like that? LOL! Remember: NEVER RETIRE. People will think you have all the time in the world!!

Wow! Mail Call Monday. I LOVE this day. It's better than a birthday. Is it my imagination, or are we not only getting MORE emails from the troops, but that they are getting longer and more newsy? What an honor that we have permission to hear from them.

Joe, USArmy – GI Joe, sure does fit!

LOL! Please thank your school friend for us for showing you the USO Canteen. We are here for you 24/7 and hope you can drop in often. Mr_Magoo does a really good job posting the history of a new airplane every day and the Sam always finds more good stuff about the same plane. Please thank your Dad for his service to our country. And God bless you too for being wherever you are to make sure that we remain free.
