At the entrance to the capitol grounds, where the rally was to be held, stood 3 counter-protesters. One held a sign accusing us of being “America Haters”. They didn’t seem to be after any trouble besides spreading their idiocy.

NPR Maine radio did interviews with mostly women/mothers who were afraid their sons would be sent to war. Others were wringing their hands over health care, education..the economy and social security. Mother Jones had an interesting article on Peace Protestors in 2002 Meet the Movement.
