Ex-president, now man-of-the-people Bill Clinton had a table full of diners at a local Little Rock eatery evicted in mid-meal last weekend because he wanted their seats for himself and his entourage.
Checking into the town's trendy new restaurant "The Living Room" for Sunday brunch, he of the humble roots asked for a table near the window. But, according to U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers," the only window table that could accommodate Clinton's party of twelve was full.
No problem. "The Living Room's" hostess gladly obliged his highness by simply "asking" the more plebeian customers to move to a less desirable table.
Once seated, reports "Whispers," "Clinton had to step away to use his cellular phone, and customers report that he waved at passing cars while talking."
Little Rock locals best be prepared to make more such sacrifices for their home-state royal.
"Friends say the visit proves to Arkansas skeptics that Clinton plans to spend lots of time in Little Rock as he works to build his presidential library and museum," the magazine noted.

Naw, can't help you with steak and eggs on the keyboard BUT if it had been grits? Add some cornbread.

"No freepers at the table, too bad." I swear I think he knows about us and avoids us like the plague, knowing that FReepers do not miss opportunities anywhere to expose him. Problem is, he is very clever about not publicizing locally when he will be around or exactly where except to his chosen cronies. We didn't even find out about the ground-breaking for his LIEbrary until it was too late to make any plans.....like the evening before.

"That table must have been closer to a sink." ROTFL! And if the waitress was a hottie.....well, you figure it out.
To: twyn1
I'd love to see some pics of that party of 12 -- wanna bet there's at least one nubile young lady who lives in the area?? (hence the Slickster's sudden interest in "helping" out with the building of the lie-brary ) Don't you mean the lay-brary.
Well, maybe both are correct.

I hear a lawsuit against the rstaurant with the slime-ball skating once again. They would have had to arrest me to get me out mid-meal.

Well ... Arkansas can have him. After all, they kept silent when he campaigned for president.
They could have exposed him and his horrible wife to the world. They chose to remain silent.
They don't deserve any sympathy.

I seriously doubt that the patrons were given the option of remaining seated at their table. As a private establishment, I assume that the restaurant has the right to shuffle people around at will. The only way that this sort of thing can be stopped is by making sure that business owners PAY DEARLY for their mistakes. I hope that this story will be widely publicized locally, and that the restaurant will suffer for it.

Trash....yes, for sure the Clintons personify trashy people. So does Jesse Ventura. I couldn't believe him making an announcement of bereavement for Senator Wellstone, wearing a sweat suit. He made his appearance hours after the plane crash, he had plenty of time to change clothes, there's no excuse.

That's about the best that could be hoped for and I doubt it happened that way. But if he goes to pains to avoid FReepers, he may employ similar tactics to secure primo dining spaces.

Well ... Arkansas can have him. After all, they kept silent when he campaigned for president.I don't think that's true. I recall, barely, that Arkansas Republicans were phoning Rush during the '92 campaign and were spreading the gospel about Clinton almost daily. And the more the Press hyped Clinton, the more Arkansans warned us. (But no one wanted to listen to backwoods Arkansans. Republican or not.)
At the time, with Bush riding high in the plls, we were assured that Bush would mop the floor with Clinton. Even Ross Perot gibed that Sam Walton (whose stores grossed more in revenue than the coffers of Arkansas) knew more more about fiscal responsibility and would make a better President than Bill Clinton. (But Ross was a nut, even then, remember?)
A lot of the truth about Clinton came out early THANKS to Arkansans-- and well in time for the elections. White Water, draft-dodging, drug-dealing, and what later came to be known as "Arkancide" all came first from the mouths of ABC Arkansans.

"Thank god Clinton is not a Brit. Or even a European!"He's every bit as much a Brit as his "wife" is a New Yorker. Sooner or later when it becomes convenient (or provides a good sound bite), he is going to claim your homeland as his own. Barf bags are optional, but suggested.
One more thing, are you certain that he is not French? :<)

He would probably have gotten good PR out of it if he and his friends had waited like everyone else. I read of a similar situation a few weeks ago with Rod Stewart, I think it was. He was told that it would be a half an hour wait and said okay, then sat down in the lobby like everyone else. I read it in the Enquirer...
