Anytime. We still owe the US and Canadian troops (Australian, Polish and British troops too) a big thanks.

405.000 American soldiers died for Europes freedom. Some people think they don't owe anything anymore, that is was so long ago. And they protest if the US wants to free the Iraqi people from the same kind of tyranny that once ruled Europe too.

But there are people who DO care for the US, for their sacrifices they made.

War cemetary near Margraten (Limburg, the Netherlands) where Americans soldiers are buried.

"What other state has a capital that you can't get there by car?"

Probly How-Are-Ya (Thanks to Dennis the Menace). I was reading on some of those Alaskan sites that there is talk of putting a highway through to Juneau before the "Move the Capitol" crybabies start up again. I call Juneau my home town, so I'm probably really prejudiced toward keeping the Capitol there (I used to work in the Capitol building, and lived right across the street from it).

Thanks for missing me. :o) Just busy, no real excuse. By the time I get here, the thread is already over 200 posts long. sigh... But I ALWAYS come, even if all I do is LURK. I'm keeping an eye on you guys...

Please do visit, LJ! I just got back from a three day trip to Mountain View (about a three hour drive from Pine Bluff) where we attended the Bean Festival and Out House Races. Much fun, great food (the best steak I've have had in a long time), beautiful scenery, wonderful people, great music, you couldn't ask for much more. Almost the entire family met there. I parked The FReepmobile in a friends driveway overlooking the river.

This is a photo of one of the racers, Whitewater RV Park Racer.

Simply stated, a great time was had by all!

I thank you for your work for the troops. It's takes a lot of time, and I appreciate it very much people care so much.
